I think it may be adverstised as PCIe 2.0 compliant (to take advantage of the newer bus-specification), but as BenchZowner pointed out, PCIe 2.0 is backward-compatible with PCIe 1.

    ace,
why do you run a lower multiplier and higher memory speed what is the benefit vs 424 x9? other than extra bios options what would a bios update do for me?
    man,
i can run good on 3.8 but it seems im not entirely stable. when i run bioshock(pc game) i play good but get random reboots not a lot though.it could be because of the game though. When i run 3d mark im good till i get to the cpu load test then i get reboots(using free 3dmark version) but runs fine at 3.6 gigahertz. heres my voltages...
    " GO" step
    ichio 1.55
    cpuvtt 1.31
    ich 1.0
    ref 0
    ddr2 2.1 volt tried up to 2.3
vcore at 1.55 with uguru showing 1.5 fluctuating ive tried up to 1.59 with uguru showing1.55 vcore
my pwn temps depending on volts are anywhere from 41c or lower up to 48c idle
i have done the bolt mod and im using more volts than you fyi
my memory is pc 6400 ddr2 800 g.skill gbhz 2 gig and its set to auto running a 4/5 ratio at 502 freq 5-5-5-15 2t. I did read you said i should be at a 1:1 ratio maybe thats teh problem hmm got any suggestions for an oc newb to find sability anything else i can raise up other than vcore?

i would increase your ICHIO to around 1.65...set the memory ratio to 1:1 and set your timings to run 5-5-5-18-42

set your vcore to 1.59 in the bios and work with the vcore from there after you make those other changes...

I just got my IP35 pro into a new case, cooler master cm 690, and I've also done a heat pipe mode using MX-2 and about 10Lbs of pressure on the sinks. I'm now ready to raise the voltages but not sure what the max is. here is what I have so far:

    cpu: 1.48 bios
    mem: 2.175
    mch: 1.33
    ichio:1.55
    cpu vtt: 1.23
    ich: 1.12

I'm trying to reach 3.6Ghz ++ I see a lot of people setting the cpu volts in the bios to 1.5+. My cooling can handle that but not sure if its safe for 24/7. Also I think increased MCH will help but not sure whats safe for 24/7. Any help would be appreciated.

well i seem to be using more volts to try and stabilize at 3.8 when i run p95 torture test my temps skyrocket they go from around 39c core temp to above 65c. I think i wanna stabilize at 3.6 with lower temps.
any idea at 3.6 what the mch.ichio, cputvtt, ich base volts i should start with and work my way up to stability?

your mch looks fine the other one you need to bump up since your using a quad core is the "CPUGTL %" in the bios. up both of those to around 70-75%, if the cpu is unstable with the %'s that high. then bump the MCH volts some more then start at 70% CPUGTL.

i would NOT go above 70% on the CPU GTLRef for a quad core cpu...dual cores can handle higher but not quad cores.

i like FSB!...and the other, memory performance/bandwidth 'might' be better at the higher fsb...it really depends on what individual memory sticks you have and whether it will function with the board at certain FSB to memory ratio's.

Right now I might need to reinstall the os. When I run prime, abit eq, core temp, 2 cpuzs, and open paint to save a screen shot pc crashes. Even at much lower settings that I've primed 12 hours, gamed, and dled many torrents 24/7 without crashes. I'll bump up those setting you mentioned. I'm such a newb I don't know what they do. Are there any pages that explain what all these settings do? It used to be easy to understand. Thanks for the help.

EDIT: Ey yeah something isn't right cuz I primed 6 hours then played graw for 3 and then primed for 7 hours. Then I turned prime off and when I started paint my pc crashed. Beside that are people post there voltages in the bios or the voltage that shows up on abit eq? I have mine set to 1.5 in the bios now but abit eq says its 1.45. I assume this is safe. Also if I bump up my CPUGTL % Do I need to lower my cpu vtt?

I wouldnt worry about the CPUGTL%. From my experience, there is little gain. IMHO, work on MCH/vCore/vDDR, those are the most impacting for your oc.

Currently, my x6800 does all stock voltages, except vcore(1.45) for 9 x 400 - 100% stable. Good luck.

Also if I bump up my CPUGTL % Do I need to lower my cpu vtt?

what Uguru version are you using, and what bios version?

below the 1.41 version, Cpuz has a bug in it when it comes to the Pro board.

I had a suspicion that it was cpu-z. But I checked and I'm using 1.41. Could still have the bug though. I'll try to take a screen without it.

    EDIT: Here it is.
