A few questions please. I have an eVGA 7900GT that runs 3D Mark 2001 at 590-595 / 2000-2050 MHz with standard voltage and the points that increase the voltage with 0,1V and 0,05V are f___ed up.
I found another point directly linked to the +0,05V point and it works, as shown below.
But I have problems finding another +0,1V point. Can anyone help me to get 1,55V without replacing rezitors? I really want to reach at least 750 MHz, even with cold air and my NV Silencer 5.3 heatsink + 9 cm fan @ 4000 RPM. Now, at 1,45V it does Nature at 700 MHz without problems and I want more.
Thanks in advance.

iirc, you don't want to connect more than one of them like that, so if you've already got part of the voltmod you're looking to do, you should go back a few pages and find where I pulled the pic from to find what each line does in terms of adding voltage. Sorry, I would have told you myself, but when I was scrolling back pages, I came across the pic but no description. Probably would be a few more pages back. I'm sure it's been brought up at least 10 times in this thread seeing how it's 30 pages![]()

Aha, found something in 28-th page. This stuff does +0,35V, so it's OK because the other mods are "disabled".

Tried it with pencil. Doesn't work.Need conductive ink/paint or soldering I guess.

whoa I haven't seen pals ining forever. not since p2/p3 iirc
also, why no ram cooling??

That Alpha covers partly half of the mem chips so I didn't figure out any good solution.Originally Posted by ziddey
i know that this voltmod is working and for 7900gs with ref board
i have unreferenced from galaxy, but it uses the same chip for vgpu
i have applied voltmods and vgpu now is actually 1.5v,
the frequency resistor is 50k now too
but i have big problem with stability -- comanche 4 benchmark restarting
and i dont know where to apply this "stabilising resistor" - 47Kohm, or i dont know if 47 is ok for my pcb desing.
i think i could try some pencil between pin 3 (OFS) and 4 (VCC)??
can somebody confirm???))

edit:
with thin red are marked where pin3 (ofs); pin4 (vcc) and pin 29 (fs) goes
with purple is marked where i apply pencil - ~50kohm
with green is marked where i apply pencil on the resistor for internal frequency - original 87kohms, green 50khoms
voltmod connections are not displayed on this jpeg, they are on the other side of the card
and after all: gpu (vid3 only) = 1.46v, mem = 2.24v
still i cant get any higher than 600/910 or 630/750
after that are black screens and restarts (i am using comanche 4 demo benchmark as the fastest way to check the stability)
come on guys give me more advices

is there any easyer way to get the 47Kohm resistor mod.
i have the card fully stable @ 1.4v/2.1 690/910 but when i tryed the 1.5v i got 750/940 fully gaming stable but i have black screen as soon as i start commache benchmark demo (the benchmark go 2 second before getting the black and then restart).between i have done the resistor k mod and lowered this resistor from 86 khom to 45 khom this helped me to get the 2 second in commache demo before the benchmark get me in black screen direcly .

Is there any method to lower the voltages? Let's say, to 1,0-1,1V and 1,7-1,8V.
Thanks.
Just so everyone who has this question knows... This mod works well on the 7950 GT also.
I moded my BFG 7950 GT OC Edition like this:
and ended up with 1.53 volts. My card happened to have resistors (or bridges since they had very low almost 0 resistance) already in place at the two places closest to the left in the picture. I just covered these with the conductive paint. Originally I had 1.33 volts, so doing the mod gave me .2 volts.
With the default voltage I was able to overclock my card to 632 mhz core and 1630 mhz memory. With this mod I was able to hit 720 mhz core and 1692 mhz memory. My 3DMark score went from 5837 (stock:565/1440) to 6446 (632/1630) and finally with the volt mod 7038 (720/1692). At first I also suffered from black screens when I first overclocked it, but with the added heat sinks on the mofsets, the problem went away completely (I ran rthdribl for 12 hours, and 10 loops of 3DMark with all options on with no problems)
I now think my video memory needs more voltage so I can clock it a bit higher, but I need better cooling for my memory first. As for my GPU, I could probably get more with more voltage, which I may try in the future as it is still staying fairly cool (51*c at full load - watercooled)
Overall I am pretty happy. Thanks for the great info guys!

what waterblock are you using? i've ran 1.55v and 1.5v on mine with a mcw60 and never exceeded 44'c under load with ceramique

I'm using the Zalman GWB-2, I think I need a new radiator setup, because I am also seeing CPU temps higher than others with watercooling.
Time for me to do some redesigning.

i got his little hump on my 7900gt rev2 card.. my supplier has guaranteed me its Bnew and still has 2years of warranty.. should i insist this card to be changed ?

Ive searched the internet for red PCB Vmods, but didn't find anything.
I have MSI NX7900GT-T2D and I tried this Vmod several times:
http://endeavorquest.net:8880/7900GT...66465300-O.jpg
But never reached any temp/clock/voltage changes
Maybe it's because this vmod works only on green and blue PCB Layout ?
Does anybody have the overview here ?
weird weird stuff going on.
I'm on an eVGA 7900GT KO. It has more resistors as you will see in the pics.
First, I wanted to check if the mod worked, so I applied the +0.05V mod.
It worked. Core stable at 637MHz.
Then I did the +0.3V mod, and the Vcore did not change. Same VGPU and same clock speeds.
+0.05V mod (I apologize for the low quality):
+0.3V mod:

did the +0.2v mod with pencil, and got core stable to 645MHz, currently using zalman vf-700. Talking about an eVGA 7900GT KO.

noroger, it looks like you've got the same components as the gtx's, meaning it can switch voltage between 2d and 3d mode. look here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...t=7900+voltmod
you should just get some conductive ink. or either way, follow that example. you can keep your 2d the stock 1.2v and raise 3d to 1.5v or what you see fit. lot easier to use that method and it keeps volts low in 2d

im not really interested in switching voltages between 2D and 3D mode, one of them is if my card will be running 650 core and gets only 1.2V in 2D, I dont think ill see anything on my screen. Or you can go some way around that?
anyway I still need to figure out how to get those 1.5V on my core :[
What should I try? This:
or

this?
I can't get any conductive ink right now :/ so ill try to stick with my soldering skills
