2900 Pro Owners Thread

OK, Mine arrived at long last, PowerColour 512MB Pro.

3-pipe cooler confirmed, 1.15v core etc.

stock card, 3.2GHz CPU, I get 9.5k in 06, pleased with that.


Problem: Rivatuner 2.05, when I click the little triangle, RT freezes up and has to be closed. Any Ideas? I've tried reinstalling. Cat 7.9.

EDIT: also makes a hissing noise under load. I don't think it is the fan. anyone else get this?

EDIT: loading at 67C stock. what should I aim to keep it below?

Another EDIT: using ATI Tool, PC froze shortly after applying 860core with artifact scanner running. seems to be about in line with other pros? It was loading at 72C for this.

67ºC is perfectly fine. As for hissing, it's the PWM on the card but I haven't noticed it myself. Might be your PSU as well. Are you using 2x 6 Pin or 1x 8 Pin and 1x 6 Pin?

I think it is coming from the card rather than the PSU, not 100% sure though.

2x6pin.

any ideas on the RT issue?
