V2000B+II vs TJ07

Which one is more better? I hear that the TJ07 is badly built, the parts don't fit together well, but the TJ07 in my opinion looks nicer. I plan to do watercooling, so the v2000 will be better because it flips the motherboard....


So which one will be able to handle more upgrades in the future? Which on is sturdier? Which on is more case modable?

TJ-07 is better for water cooling because you can fit the rad in the lower chamber.

You can fit rads in the lower chamber of the v2000 as well. I am also considering these two cases. Right now its looking like v2000 because it has a lot more spaces in the lower area.

The tj07 looks limited to a a 120x3 and a 120x2. Where, I could be mistaken, but it looks like you can fit 4 120x3 in the lower area of the v2000.

That depends on what rads you buy. Ive been looking at exactly this, and from what ive found, you will not get 2 Black Ice or Thermochill rads (height wise) in the bottom of the V2000, as the compartment is exactly 240mm's high. The only rads that would fit in that configuration are the Blastflow ones, which im not too keen on. Obviously the case would fit pretty much any single rad config though, but then so would the TJ07

The TJ07 gets around this because the PSU is mounted sideways, so you can fit one rad in front of the other. Infact ive seen a TJ07 setup with a quad GTX & dual GTX in the bottom, with no real problems.
I guess u could mod the backplate of the V2000 so the PSU was mounted sideways if you really wanted the Lian Li.

damn, thanks for the info. I was almost set on the v2000 because I thought I could fit two 120x3's in there. Now I don't know what to get again though. I was hoping to fit two full size rads in the bottoms.

Its difficult, ive been looking for the exact same thing. Some of the mountain mods cases can do it, the TJ07 will do 1xtripple or quad + 1xdual, and i recon u could get the same on the V2000 although it may require some additional modding. But yeah, there arent too many cases for that kinda thing unless u mount a rad externally - which personally, im not the greatest fan of!

V2000, couldnt you fit one on the wall of the lower chamber then one on the floor?

Not sure how the clearances would work. I have an Enermax Galaxy too, which would rule out a tripple on the floor due to the extra length of the PSU. May work with a smaller PSU. TBH, while i prefer the looks of the V2000 in some ways, I think the TJ07 is edging it for me atm.

well the v2000 is 2 inches deeper than the tj07. So probably more space on the floor?

v2000=24.6" x 8.3" x 24.3"
tj07 =22.2'' x 8.7'' x 22''

You'd fit two PA120.3's in the base of a V2000 if you side mount. There'd be about 40mm of clearance between the rads (PA's are 59mm thick).

I looked at that, but the fact I have a galaxy i think is a problem, as it will hit one of the two rads if u mount them like that. I dont really fancy switching to a smaller PSU either... lol.

I guess the other thing about the lian li is that there are no vents in the side panels, meaning you would have to mount your own. Neither does it have a window (although that may not bother you).

no you won't......too long would hit the psu....

I fitted 2 triple rads in the bottom but there smaller 3xrads the size of the v2000 is deceiving...looks huge in the bottom section but it really isn't that big.....

240mm to from bottom to case to middle divider,In my case i had 390mm (small psu) to work with length wise..and my rads just fit...

Thermochill's are longer than 390mm so if you have a larger psu the only way your gonna fit 120.3 if moving the psu to the top (switching the backing plate) and putting the 120.3 laying across the bottom...I've seen a few done like that....

120.2 would have to many problems fitting in the bottom..and you also fit a 120.2 in the case's roof....

Vadim had there rad's custom made from what i've read to fit exactly in the v2000 case's... 390mm x 120mm x 45mm l x h x w

To give you an idea i have two triple rads same dimension's as above... See how close it is to the psu stand thing...

Wow, thanks for all the info!! So, I plan on having two rads, one for cpu and one for gpu...as of now, I'm swaying towards the v2000. It's cheaper, seems bigger, and the motherboard flipping can be a real help incase there are any leaks....they wont drip to any other component

That gets it done, but I was hoping to keep my 5.25 bays. If I were to do something like that, it can be done with a lot cheaper case. Guess like my only options now are heavy modification or MM.

if i could get mm's in Aus or even lian li cube's i would of went for one of those case's but no available here so i went for a v2000...Overall i love my v2000...But i did have sacrifice performance to get the look i wanted...

Disruptfam, could u do a quick favour? With the PSU mounted in the high position, do u have the measurements of how much space would be between it and the floor of the case? Would be quite useful!

with a pcp&c 750 i have in the top slot gives me 6.9" to the floor of case or 4.720" to the psu support on the floor of case.btw you can fit a 120.2 in the top of the v2000 by positioning it in the front of the case you lose 2 drive bays (to aid airflow) but it clears the mobo and fits between the drive bay sides.

Yes, i think thats wot he means. Dont see that as being a huge problem, if you have the PSU mounted in the upper mount though. And im sure i can find away of effectively supporting the far end of the PSU so it doesnt put too much weight on the back of the case.

Yeah, not really a major obstacle, all of 2 mins work with a drill to get the rivets off.
