Just ordered this memory myself...can anyone tell me if under Vista 32bit if 4GB gets recognised?...or is it still limited to 3.2-3.5GB?

Cracking deal regardless, 1000MHz at only 2.0V...and the price!

If you run Vista 32-bit, 3.5G is the maximum amount of memory that can be recognized. You'll need XP or Vista 64-bit in order to use full capacity.

Actually, Vista 32bit can't address more than 3.12GB of memory. It's a failsafe to prevent potential driver compatibility issues.

Yes. Take a look at irev210's photo:

Its dimensions, the dot, the code next to it ending with 3G... Typical Powerchip IC.

It's awesome to see this stuff doing so well, I've got the same PC2-8000 4GB kit on the way to throw in my SP35P2 (P35 based obviously) Shuttle.

I to was taken back by the price and I can't wait to see what they'll do in the shuttle...4GB of DDR2 in that little LAN box with a Q6600 and 8800GT is sure gonna kick a$$!!!

    According to Microsoft it does:

    Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB929605)

However, to avoid potential driver compatibility issues, the 32-bit versions of Windows Vista limit the total available memory to 3.12 GB.

    [...]

If a computer has many installed devices, the available memory may be reduced to 3 GB or less. However, the maximum memory available in 32-bit versions of Windows Vista is typically 3.12 GB.
