or 4.00GHz on stock cooling..
When Mercedes brought their C111 to Talledega years ago and blew away the closed course record did it count? Yes..
That was a "factory" car and a "one of" that no one could buy and was never sold.
Records are records and that is a fact so get over it.
Yourkfield, is that the QX9650 that will release in November?

I'm going to jump in and say don't expect this from every single chip. Just because one does this doesn't mean all can (I'm sure you know, just reminding).

Metro has confirmed 4ghz at least on stock cooling, and with Intel, retail performance isn't far behind from es chips.

Very nice.
incredible. poor amd =/ I think i might just go for one of the quads now instead of a dual core.
Impressive...
Wow nice Hipro
I hope this is an indication of how retail chips will behave
How will it perform on P35 though...

Wow, thats incredible. Great work! We will obviosuly see a little drop off with the regular chips but a QX9650 at 4.0+ on air is a beast.
I need to get my hands on some ES chips..

I'm pissed,I have a q6600,an e6600 and now I need to buy a 45nm beast, just because haha. Why do they need to clock so well???I mean 3.4 ghz with what I have now is plenty, but just knowing theres a new chip out that will do 4ghz drives me nuts.....I need oneeee haha
AMD is in for a huge battle indeed
there will be retails chips which are even better! but a lot of them will perform worse..
However; are we seeing diminishing returns from LN2 ("just" 6ghz) or is it just me?

I just wonder what will be the max fsb with the Yorkfield, hope it's an improvment over the Kentsfield, so I could go over 5ghz with the Q9450 no prob with my SS.
And well done Hipro.
WOW! You have my undivided attention. Please tell us which model Yokfield this is
EDIT: Nevermind. It's all right there in the cpuz screenshot.
