some initial testing with the P5E on water(at last).
i've also found the new bios's released to be completely flawed and unstable. the latest for the p5w resets the fsb if you change it. on a good side it gave me most of the maximus settings.
    i'm rock stable at 3.6 @29c with 1.42vcore.
my highest stable speed so far is 3.9.... i'm glad i didnt pay the extra 70 quid for the maximus now....

besides its the same board..... yeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaa!

    Purecain,

What is the latest Bios for the P5E? Also, are you experiencing VDroop w/ the droop setting enabled? I'm getting my P5E in the coming days...

Also, whats the highest FSB you've achieved (Or can achieve) on your chip?

OK if you want to talk about another model board move it to another thread that is for that board. just a idea

ok so its same pcb but dif bios and most likly some parts on the mobo are dif manufactures will some times make a generice board with multiple ways to layout some parts. just don't thinks the board will give a acuret view of the board this therad is about.

    current bios and date for P5E 10/12/2007 08:18PM 1,256,237 P5E0203.zip

You're not the favorite of your neighbors, right?

It's the same board, pal, under different branding (no R.O.G.) and with less extra - but if he's ahead of us in BIOS versioning then we can figure out what's coming, genius...
