You know what was odd was when I was Living in VA in 2004 I went back home to N.J to catch the Dead 2 day run at the Arts Center and all of the kids were on their Cell phones frigging weird!! I guess we must be Relix these days Man talk about wanting to cry! First time I had seen them since Madison Square Garden 10/18/94 on the 5 day run in N.Y.C before Jerry died that summer

I was lucky in some wierd way and always got great tickets without trying. I mean GREAT seats. And I remember seeing the same people over and over show after show...maybe it was more than coincidence...

You should get the OCZ FLEX XTC (PC2 9200) 1150MHZ 5-5-5-18 like the ones I ordered as they are proven by Tony, RGone, Praz,Raja and others to work very well with this particular motherboard.
Believe me the last thing I wanted to do was have to spend money on RAM after I just dumped $339.00 on my Cell Shock but I put entirely too much time into that and got absolutely no where! So I elected to get the Flex for that reason "Proven" Overclocking friendly ......I had some Ballistix Tracer that eva2000 has tested extensively with great result but this board was not having any of it!

    Stick with the OCZ

I'm just telling you which over the two I know for a fact work very well without issue at high overclock. But if you prefer the Black Heat Spreader over the Siver one what EVER

    Not bad so far ...

Well, let me say that Vista is installed now, no more problem I installed vista in 15 mins exactly .. PC is responding real fast.

I really think the problem was the voltage on the NB at stock settings wasn't ok, weird tho.

    Anyway, I'm now at 3.2GHZ

    9*356

    my temp are idle

    35
    29
    29
    35

    chipset : 45
    PWM : 41

    On load :

    47
    42
    42
    48

    chipset : 49
    PWM : 47

    Seems good temp for me

I'm gonna go sleep soon and I'll run orthos all nite, tommorow if everything is oke I'll go for 3.4GHZ

Btw, I have the Ultra-120 Extreme ... I read that a lot of ppl had problem with mounting .. not enough pressure on, I don't know if mine is oke but I can move the heatsink if I push it on the left or the right .. or if I try to make him a 360 .. but since my temp are ok .. I guess it's fine anyway

will see tommorow my goal is to hit 3.6GHZ and I'll be happy

    thx for the answer guys

Oh so basically they perform the same? just that the Flex are water-cool capable? that would be a good thing if i decide to water cool.

    wow THANKS!

NO!!!! What I am telling you is if you want something that works well that is documented to do so and on Par with you Team Xtreem I would get the OCZ FLEX and not run the risk of being disappointed like we both have been already with our very High $ Ram

Cell Shock PCB is not fully liked by this chipset and I just dumped $339.00 on my kit just to find that out the hard way! Get the Ram in my sig!

Well... I got the system up and running a little while ago and I am impressed with it. In about 30 minutes I have it running at 4GHz by just adjusting the voltages so far. I need links to the latest programs to run the standard stress tests.... etc. Orthos? Super Pi?

This weekend is going to be fun!

    So far, so good.

For the most part I think all OCZ ram should be fine but how well it overclocks on this board may be another story. OCZ and DFI work very closely together and I am pretty much thinking that this board is for the most part geared towards OCZ ram...just a hunch any ways.

But to answer you're question about this Ram in my sig directly I'm gonna say this ....Raja has told me [QUOTE] This Ram Performs Brilliantly in this Motherboard [END QUOTE]

For the record, my OCZ Sli-edition PC8500 sticks work great in this mobo.

Had them up to 1300 at 5-5-5-15 at 2.35V. Currently stable at 1150 5-4-4-12 at 2.2v.

im finding windows xp x64 is taking longer than i expected to boot into. thats with 2x150gb raptors in RAID0. a bit disappointing with a QX6850 and 4GB RAM when my mrs rig with P965 gigabyte,E4300,2GB RAM and single SATA drive boots faster. wtf??????

is it some known issue with this board haing slow RAID0???

I second that the 8500 SLI's go great 1100-1200mhz Orthos stable on warranted voltage is no problem.

The 8500 SLI's are not the pinnacle of what OCZ have to offer but they do a decent job & are very fairly priced
