Striker Extreme settings for Q6600 G0 overclock

    HI All,

Recently installed a G0 Q6600. Am wondering if anyone can recommend me some decent settings for OC'ing my system. What bios settings and bios revision would you recommend?

    Cheers

I just got my Striker Extreme last weekend and am still benching with my Q6600. Have a look at this thread http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=159457

You want the 1303 bios, do not, I repeat, do NOT use the 1305 bios. I'm priming stable at the moment at 3.6. I did boot into windows at 4.0g but soon as I tired P95 it crashed.

    HUGE thanks to GameGuru,

Applied the bios settings he recommended and used bios 1301.

System is fine at 3.6GHz now.

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

These are Linflas settings mate, worked good for me till up to 425FSB, keep ram in sync with FSB do not try to force more ram mhz as it will make the OC unstable... I hope it works out for you as some boards just don't cut it... plz make sure the heatpipes get enough cooling as running them without added cooling will surely hinder ya OC

there should be an error on the LCD poster at ya backplate: cpu init, det ram, det ide,...

and also a black screen no boot means you are in an FSB hole, meanign you have to up the FSB eg 12mhz and try again...

try eg 1660 FSB ( 415FSB) with 830mhz on the ram always try to keep these in line with a quad, if you are gonna force them you migth get instabilities... if it doesn't boot try 1672 and 833 on the ram till it boots...
