I have downloaded 2792 and flashed 3 or 4 days ago in hopes of using my Micron D9's PC28500 (black Mushkin heatspreader 5-4-5-5-12)

With those 2 sticks it WILL NOT POST, it gives me 3-beep error code which according to intel is "no memory found", of course my non-d9 chips DDR2667 5-5-5-15 I have no problems with

Even after clearing BIOS, resetting CMOS, and trying them in T1/T2 with both in blue, both in black, single in blue, single in black. Still same error. I can achieve a modest overclock with the non-d9 667

Thanks for the info. Do these DIMMS work with 2777?

You will need to boot with a value ram (low rated ram) and change the RAM settings in config mode. The board is trying to boot the RAM at high frequency with default voltages. Hope this helps.

You can also try to boot with only one stick if you have no cheap ram lying around. Try the last slot, I found that helps.

hey guys, i tweaked a version of FCG's CAS window spreadsheet found here to be nice and specific to the BX2. Hope this helps some of you in tuning performance on your boards.

running the bad axe 2 (INTEL D975XBX2) headless

Has anyone run this board headless?

I've got a fedora 9 system that runs fine, but when I remove the video card it doesn't get anywhere. I can't ssh/ping the box -- which i can with video card in. The NIC LED also doesn't show any activity during startup as it normally would when services are started. Nothing appears in the linux logs (/var/log/messages, /var/log/boot), and nothing in the bios log. No error beeps. On most mobos you have to set "halt on errors" to ignore video errors, but this bios doesn't have such a setting.

I've looked through a number of forums, but haven't seen anything about a headless configuration. According the manual it should be possible.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    TP.
