And guys (gOtVoltage, Psycho_eddie, SOLDNER-MOFO64, mAJORD) awesome results! Keep benching! We need to squeeze everything from X2 and current GFXs because PhenomFX and new graphics toys are coming soon!
Sure thing mate........but you got an 0731 ......nice one.

Hows the temps on your cores mate......they runnin' fairly equal or do you have a cpu with dif temp cores?

With nice equal temps you should be good for 3600mhz-3700mhz with good watercooling and 666mhz divider on mem

Seems like very new Amd 6000 you got their.. where did you buy it from?

Then again my CPU does same speeds but my score 200 or so lower due to XP... is work trying bench on XP?

Ill install Vista on my New Raptor X drive and put XP on standard Sata drive... then will see if i beat you

Also to get new mobo soon... Asus crosshair most likely

Have your bios flash worked well?, seems not to of changed clocks much??

Just wondering but what temp difference you rekon 3rd heatpipe makes? 1-2C or 5C or 5-10C difference?

SOLDNER my cores run 4-5 degree apart under heavy load so it's not bad
I tried my CPU @3500MHz and 1.43V on my Ultra120 Extreme and it was bench stable (at least Cinebench 2xCPU and all Everest tests / temps 45C/41C). I will try to lower mem div and give it a go shortly ....

    Back on topic:
Oh! I did it again ....

Pay attention that this run was again on 2900PRO BIOS! It was strange for me that SM2.0 score on faster processor was worse than previous run (11333). I was wondering what it can be and ... eureka! XT BIOS is older and it perform worse!
I know that this run is with mem slightly higher, but TBH on XT BIOS this setting was slower than 980MHz!

I've got it on Friday from DABS.COM. Looks very promising indeed! I will test it properly tomorrow afternoon.

Give XP a go (best x64 if you can)!

Regarding motherboard, keep in mind that I'm on el-cheapo MSI K9N Ultra-F!! I'm also getting new mobo, but later on when RD790 will arrive!

PS. All runs without tweaking! Default Cat.7.9 settings!

    I found this!!!

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=005

This guy is for real, paypal payments so you are protected!!

£115 for a Amd 6400 is good and from USA is better? for newer revision ... i thought they made in USA?

Tax would be £15 even if full value stated..

Is your Heatsink on CPU lapped? Ive just ordered a Thermalright 120 Ex with a 120x38mm fan!! 90cfm made by silenx silver fan looks better as going with alu heatsink in windowed case

Heya, what Vcore u use for 14x250?

    What setting on memory?

    I.e me

    CPU - 310x11 (1.45V)

    Mem - 1100 5-5-5-15 2.1V (2x 1Gb)

Good score btw, so Pro bios is better then... better ram timming id suspect much like the 7900GTO bios at same clocks as 7900GTX scored higher due to better bios timming etc...

Im not that amazed with the 2900xt/2900pro... my 7900GTO SLI setup scored shade under 11K!!

Ouch, you're within striking distance of my best so far ......

With tweaks you'll do 13k if you haven't already.

CPU 250x14 @1.56V real (stable for at least 1h of gaming, SuperPi 2M stable@1.50V)

    Mem 1000MHz 4-4-4-12-15 2T @2.25V (just in case, normally 2.2V)

    PCIe 130MHz

    GPU @1.2V

7900GTO is by no means a bad card, especially in pairs

Heh I'm saving tweaks for next weekend, now I will work out my new CPU and start looking for better motherboard! I'm sure my new 6000+ would do 3.6GHz on proper board, but PWMs on my cheap MSI are a bit scared when I'm pushing over 3500MHz @1.5V+

heheee yeah I know what you mean...........I've found myself waking during the night a couple of times and I've had to get out of bed and boot-up my rig just to see the 3500Mhz X2 show up in system properties.....incase it's all been a dream.

    How sad is that?

Thumbs up Ok slowly gettin there, working out a few bugs 163.75BetaX64bit

My new 3Dmark06...I lowerd my CPU a lil bit and have been working on just the SM2 and SM3 ...I think im starting to gain a decent Oc now despite the Beta driver and Rivatuner 2.05 ,It seems its harder to Oc with both..I mean i easily clocked whats in my sig with the Older driver, but there is a lot more potential with being able to adjust Shader with out flashing and not using a VMOD....Once i get my card to its full Oc ,Only then will i shoot for 3.6ghz on my Cpumaybe ill really be able to post a decent 3Dmark!!!!!! Remeber i am only working on my SM scores for now ,this way i know my card is doing all the work

Note:1st// I was bored and disasembled my card and put on some MXII and polished the Heatsink after a 2000lap/job .

2nd// I also installed Nylon washers under the spring screws,This allows the heatsink to mate flat with the board and closes the gap between the Shader and the memory by 2/64th of an inch.....

3rd// this allows use of the factory Grey heatsink paste on the Shader, You just make a ball the size of a BB and place on top of shader before heasink goes on ,instead of using the white thermal pad crap on it...

4th //The memory uses the white thermal pads still, but im looking into getting some of the thick paste for memory then ill i try for 2250-2300mhz

5th//I also modded the fan shroud ,by cutting the VENTS and center out all the way up to where the cover starts to slope down, Make shure you leave the sides and the Factory fan inlet intact !!!This way once you install the 120fan you can use the factory fan to push the AIR oneway thru card and will have no exess heat in your case For a mod that cost nothing ,except stealing the 120fan off my Bigtyphoon and aluminum bracket which i cut at an angle to mount to fanshroud...one day ill bum a camera, for now check out these temps on Air only!

    GPU@704mhz//Shader@1782mhz//Memory@2106mhz Idle@42c Load@53c @25cambiant case temp!!!!

@gotvoltage Nice score!.. good overclock on the 8800GTS 320MB

Has given me an idea! was going to get EVGA 8800ULTRA Superclocked but for same price can get 2 x 8800GTS 320MB superclocked editions... which would you opt for.. i.e if you had all items in front of you but could only choose one setup?

Pros and cons of each? and estimated 3dmark06 scores?

Lightman can u break 12K? stay up one cold night and try seeing that u can get out of your CPU enough for a bench just one will do

@gOtVoltage Impressive overclock! I'm sure you will crack 12K on that setup!

@Psycho_eddie I hope I can crack 12k on Cat7.9 and I'm almost sure I will do that on Cat7.10 . Haven't played Marks lately due to work and stuff, but I hope for cold saturday evening !

i;ve seen 3000 cpu score on 3dmark06 by a FX60 at 3.8ghz. I think he used only one cpu. Why cant we see a X2 6000 or 6400 hit higher than that? Any 3dmark06 results for 6400+ over 3000? I've seen Intel E6600 hit over 3000 with higher clock.

that is one goal im personally looking into right now im aroundCPU 2700points...I still havnt tried supercranking my chip, getting my 88dialed in It is very time consuming ,although Nvidia has come along way with the drivers..Its almost as good as the old days...

    EDDIE
I would get two of these for SLI or a GTX ,but no Ultra...its only a glorified GTX..

Personally i like EVGA and BFGtech...Both OverClock like Mad and Have great warrenty...EVGA ASLO fully warrenties OVERCLOCKING and COOLER CHANGES..."So does XFX", but im not too shure on there performance with Overclocking....

8800'320mb DONT PAY EXTRAfor the top line 320 there the same as this one..they are only few MHZ faster stock but both Oc the same
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130038

    GTX
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130072

This way you can play around with SLI ,I wish i had two of my Oced cards in sli= a good 25-30%boost ...Then maby step one up in three months When hopefully the new 88' come out and keep one as a spare ,,Or I buy a new GTX and Clock the Crap outa it... I would pass right by an ultra any day ...the GTX would probally be more stable any how and can Overclock like Mad ..I would of broke the 12000points mark already if i had 640mb or 768mb ...The extra bandwidth that another 320mb+ of memory would give , would probally put me over 12000point mark easy at my Overclocks!

Negative, the extra memory is of no benefit whatsoever in 3D MARK 06 due to resolutions. Infact, you most likely get a higher score with your 320MB card instead of 640MB since your memory should in theory, clock a little higher.

Decided next upgrade to be a 8800Ultra as for overclocking it comes clocked very high but also it has A3 GPU core for best overclocking along with better memory chips which allow upto 2500Mhz in theory... Also Ultra ref hsf is very nice compared to GTX

DFI 590SLI mobo yet to arrive

When i want more power in future ill just slap in another ULTRA!! easy
