For me it's the opposite, memory clocking is sooo easy it's my mem making my cpu and mobo look silly.

Getting 9845~9875MB/s read, 51.8ns latency in Everest at my 24/7 config 8x469 (3.75GHz) with divider 5:6 with timings below. That's with ONLY 2.15v set in bios and ~2.2v real vdimm and this is DDR2-667 ram but that's not the limit either but CPU clock is prioritized and it's getting cpu limited at this config.

In P35DQ6 F6 bios, though greyed out and not in use, does this mean it would be possible to monitor NB and SB temps? Unless this is a generic entry, that is simply not possible on this board. Did not find any hidden voltage monitoring, which is what I was looking for.

NEVER compare Nvidia with Intel Lestat, just for an example, I can run insane clocks on the ram with my Striker , but I had to squeeze everything out of it to surpass my eg SuperPI runs compared to the same clocks CPU wise on the P5W... higher speeds doesn't necesarrily imply better performance...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

That's pretty weird I'm testing a GO 6600 now on the DS3 with latest beta bios and I run GSkill 8000 at 4-4-4-5 2t no issue....

That's my feeling also. I have a DS4 on my 2nd gaming rig and i can't get my Teamgroup 6400 4-4-4-12 to work @ 1080mhz 5-5-5-15, when the same ram did over 1100mhz on a P5N-E SLI and 1111mhz on a P5K Del. I've tried every possible setting but it refuses to enter winxp (hardly it boots). I've tried two other rams (Teamgroup 4-4-4-10 D9GMH and OCZ Reaper 6400) but neither could reach 1080mhz 5-5-5-15.

Personally i think it's a decent mb but mem oc'ing has been a pain in the a**, for me at least.

As for the vdroop, after so many asus mb's i'm quite happy with it. 1.425v in bios means 1.39v idle and it droops only 0.01v (1.38v) under load. This is hardly a vdroop.

I've noticed that the BIOS setting and what their Easytune sotware reports is different. Easytune says voltage is setup lower than it is in the BIOS.

I've also noticed that my CPU runs at lower than stock voltage if the BIOS is setup to Normal. Lower than the VID.

Either way....it improved with F5 but it still does not work on my machine.
EDIT: Woops didn't see this reply. I am using F5 as well.

Has anyone else gotten it to work at all?

    Hello.

Don't know if this has been posted yet, using the search button gave no useful results..

I'm building a budget overclocking rig:
I was thinking to GB P35 series.. what do you think about DS3L?
Is it so much worse than a DS3R ?

It should go with a e2160 btw, so i need at least 400 fsb

I received my response and tore the person up because he obviously doesn't know anything about the board. It is like those people just open the manual and say oh well he needs to press CTRL + F1 to get more options. He obviously didn't know what was within the BIOS. Did he even look into the other stuff I listed? Obviously not...see below

    ---------------------------------------

    Question - xxxx
    From : Jared xxxxx[ xxxx@xxxx.net ]
    Sent : 10/2/2007 06:48
Question : I know about the extra settings under CTRL + F1, but that does not provide what I am asking to be added to the BIOS. That allows you to set timings, but does not allow the 1T/2T memory option. The other things listed are not available in the BIOS either. I take it you are not very familiar with the P35-DQ6 board otherwise you would of known this. Please actually be aware of what is in the BIOS prior to responding with such a generic answer.

    Answer - xxxx
Answer : All options are as is under bios, did you press CTRL + F1 for more additional features?

    Question - xxxx

Question : As many people have stated this motherboard needs to have the following BIOS additions/corrections. These are no brainer, typical features that most motherboards have. Gigabyte has provided a solid product, but it is missing a few simple things. Please add these to a future BIOS version. Thank you.

    1T/2T memory option.
Functional EIST when changing CPU voltage.
Actual voltage reading on PSU rails instead of "OK" and "FAIL"
Actual voltage readings on RAM, NB, etc. instead of +.1, +.2, etc.
Display of NB temperature if possible.
    Motherboard - ASUS P8P67 Pro
    Processor - Intel i5 2500k @ 4.6ghz
Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212+
    Ram - 4GB OCZ Gold DDR3-1600
Video Card - Galaxy GTX 460
    PSU - Corsair TX750
    Case - Antec 1200

    I got a similar response.

"unfortunately all settings which are currently under bios are all which are available.
There are more options available under bios after pressing CTRL + F1"

Maybe we should have emailed someone in corporate, instead of the technical.

When I upgrade to ?X38 with a quad Penryn in early 08, better access to BIOS settings is now going to be a priority in addition to performance.

Modbin6 from site below. I was not going to flash any changes, would not want to risk killing my mobo. I just opened saved bios files to look at. (though if i found hidden voltages or memory controller/strap settings, I might have been tempted)

Masta just so you know 1T/2T probably wont ever be added to an intel chipset.
never has been never will be.
although they SHOULD be there yes, they just dont even have the option there.

I dont know. I would not be willing to flash my mobo with any bios I edited with that outdated bios tool. I was hoping to find something better, but never did.

So Everest can tell me what my current vdimm in actual voltage but the bios can't? I really hope the one response I got was a serious one and that the suggestions did get forwarded.
