Q6600 currently Priming @ 3.6Ghz with 1.456v. Getting some massive vDroop from P35-DS3R but this is to be expected from this board. 1.575v set in bios, 1.508v while idle, and 1.456-1.488v during load. I'll get validation and post screens once I have it SP stable.

EDIT:
Hey CraptacularOne, could you please update my OC on the list?

Nice - Does it show same temps with coretemp 95.4 beta? I idle 36c but run 70c load on core0/1. Makes me think of lapping the CPU if you can get that low. You haven't got your PC in a fridge have you-lol!

Picked up a G0 Q6600 today. L727B248... Any idea what I could expect of it? I'm not gonna bother trying it in my P5W. Waiting 'till the rest of the X38 boards are out. Will probably end up with a P5E or a Maximus Formula.

If it is even possible to make an estimate...

When I compare your CPU's FPO to the FPO's listed in OC Database, it seems like you have a CPU from a pretty new batch. So according to me it is pretty hard to make any estimate about what to expect.

Plug it in, and go

But statistics and estimates never have been my best subject, and I am pretty new to overclocking. So my opinion is probably worthless

@ Zucker2k, that's nice but you are going to need at the very least a quad instance of 32m Pi if you want to get on the list.

Yep I need at the very minimum four instances of P1 32m run simultaneously, or a screen shot of it priming at that speed @ 100% CPU load will be even better (multi threaded prime 95 25.5)

I haven't personally seen that stepping yet. So if you've got one crank it up and see what it will do

@ billdavis, thanks for making it easy, a simple copy and paste is always appreciated

@ no_n|ck, I'm going by voltage needed. If you guys disagree, I'll move him up, but 4009Mhz is pretty much 4Ghz and he needed more voltage to get it stable than the others did

At least put his chip infront of turtletrax & tintin resualts, as 8h vs 30min of Prime95 ... i bet his chip can do 30min of Prime95 @ 4ghz under 1.6v ...

It is and that is why his result is staying where it is This is not a bragging rights thread just a data base of overclocks and voltages needed to get there his needed more voltage and thus is placed where it is at

exactly, so thats why should the resualts be trasparent for someone whos looking for the right stepping ... i realy dont care as i have what i want, but from this point of view the turtletrax & tintin chips seams better on the table than are in reality ... nevermind, at least we have something here
