    System freezes or orthos fails?

Either way it is not stable on orthos, try going up a notch or two in vcore or temporarily loosening memory main timings or secondary timings. (or drop multiplier to 8x and if runs OK, then rules out memory).

I have same setup and overclock but watercooled, when I increased to 3.9, I recently had to increase my pcie to +0.1V and to 107 to keep stable (was using +.05 and 105 at 3.83). I have my mch and FSB to normal, but you could try upping those first notch or two, all boards can be little different.

I get hard reboots on orthos when I try for 4.0, no matter my settings. Highest I can do orthos stable is 9x442, but have to use 1.5 vcore, so staying at 3.9.

I would try multi at 8 first, if runs orthos, then you ruled out memory. Then FSB+0.1 and +0.1mch and maybe start at 3.87 get it stable and walk it up few mhz at time.

Also you could try setting performance on standard instead of turbo, or try downloading memset and decrease performance level to 11 from 7 just as test (F4 bios has performance level 11 and seemed to overclock easier, though with worse performance)

    ok will try that

Update: I lowered mhz to 3900mhz and increase MCH to +.100 and Orthos ran 4 hours and 30 minutes until core 0 failed. will go up on voltagea notch and see.

What are the starting volts before we apply more. it is said that ram is 1.80v but what about fsb and mch?
    thanks

Unfortunately there are no sensors to tell you. If they do not improve the bios on future versions, I will be going back to ASUS.

Everest ultimate beta version 4.10.1128.0 under motherboard/north bridge lists normal specs for north bridge voltage on DQ6 board as 1.25V, but it is not a sensor, so wont tell you what voltage you are actually at, and I have no way of knowing if even that is the accurate normal voltage.

You are really just stuck with knowing +.1V etc, and not knowing voltage. IF you are not stable at +.1 or +.2 on FSB or MCH, I doubt going higher will help since FSB is not that high, but that is just based on my overclock and few others, so could be wrong.

Ive stripped my video drivers out completely three times just to see if that was it and reinstalled the new easytune pro three times still same error.

    Can anyone verify
