    All the Ballistix range are D9GMH, Crucial is a division of Micron.

    Yes. Some of the 8500 is d9gkx though. I got my tracer 8500's for $145 shipped. I just need a motherboard that doesn't suck and I'm good.

    The next time ca will be Ln² or nothing
    Ahhhh, and, to test it single also on another motherboard

    Disappointing that the motherboard has died. More than of the single channel of possible and she does not seems to like this seen the tests (772Mhz only instead of 805 with dual channel)

    Still happy to have met you Saaya

    I've heard that the Ballistix series chips is :
    PC6400 ---> D9GMH
    PC8000 ---> D9GCT
    PC8500 ---> D9GKX

    I know that you can't be a 100% sure, but is that partially true ?

    As for the new WR, what can I say ? Terrific job dude !

    In theory, only the PC5300 seems to be able to be D9GCT, no?

    It seems to me

    the board died?
    i thought only the first 2 slots had died or were damaged somehow?
    Strange.. how could the board die so quickly... was it the ln2 that poured on the board? i think that damaged or killed the board as ln2 is conductive...

    and yeah, was very nice to meet you in person!
    i hope there will be another ln2 party like this soon!

    ps:

    gkx=800
    gmh=667

    I have to remove the heat spreaders of this kit crucial and the name of the chips erased (they are chips Micron D9, surely of the D9GMH or can be D9GKX)

    In the 8500 tracer and regular ballistix threads there are a few that have received d9gkx, but most are d9gmh. Either way the 8000 and 8500 ballistix are the best ddr2 sticks for the money IMHO. Low voltage and high clock speed, what more can you ask?

    From personal experience I have overclocked a Ballistix PC8500 Kit @ 1250 MHz 5-5-5-15 @ 2.3V and they are equipped with the D9GKXs One friend of mine, also has the same kit - D9GKXs too ... That's why I said that Best value for money rams imo (199 euros here in Greece) ...

    I really think that the PC8000's and the PC6400 are the exact same. I've got a pair of both 8000's and 6400's 512mb sticks in right now but need to test each kit individually. The SPD settings for both the 8000's and the 6400's are the exact same. That means that the 6400's have the 1000mhz EEP profile, which the 8000's obviously have also.
