    Took the 3000+ winchester WR very easily, didn't have cooling paste, yet 3.45G at 1.8

    My guess is that it's a BH stepping. They do have a CB, but you need very low temps before it gets a problem.

    You didn't spend more than $10.000 in total? Even I have bought CPUs for more than that Plenty of dual cores, though. 4000 Euro last 2 month, that's what my ebay account tells me at least

    Seems like both 3000+ winchester and 3500+ venice died after the went under the mach2. Very strange death

    Pretty mich no toledo's are great. But there is still a WR for those CPUs I don't buy those to crack the SD record lol

    Got the 3000+ winnie validation, but the cpu was capable of so much more

    1.75 - 1.8.

    Board doesn't boot with 3500/3000, but boots with the 3800+

    CPUs CAN die when you give them much juice. Sounds strange that both did, though.

    Perhaps it has something to do with water/ice. I don't really have a clue about sub zero cooling, just a thought.
