The 1200 will have a flat surface. I'm not sure when it 'll be released.

It's in french but the pics speak for themselves

What I love about the 1200 is the fact that it has more drive bays.

Ok Chrome enamel on the front fan mesh doesnt 'work' for me
it detracts from the fans blue led's or whatever you have behind it

still to try on a flat interior surface yet

Can't you just use a power extension cables if the cables from PSU are short?

Actually, it doesn't look good to me at all.

The lacking of the curve top of the Antec Nine Hundred made it less stylish, more dullness.

Also the 200mm fan on the top of this case sticks out. Unlike the Nine Hundred which blend in with the case.

    Antec

I think the 900 is about 100% finished trying to change something great will just ruin it...

Move on and create something and rebadge it accordingly!

I say I have a "Antec 900" and if they know it they can visualize it..

if not they`ll go ,oh ah after they see it!

meant it to be a smile... lol.
were you able to have a shiny finish with the mesh you painted? the problem with painting chrome i believe is that you cannot get it to shine, maybe applying a clear coat after should make it look better.

Not too crazy about the looks of the 1200--I like the angularity of the 900 best. But it seems they are keepin aware of what we want--the top mount rad makes too much sense.

it wasn't full on chrome shiny - tho it did have a 'satin' sheen to it
but seeing as i only did it on one of the spare mesh fronts -i've lost nothing by trying

having tried it tho - i wouldnt be happy even if it was properly chromed - as it still 'masks' the blue led's shining through somewhat - and that is part of the case's appeal in the 1st place

Does anybody know what size the thumbscrews are that secure the drive cages to the case?

want to get some black ones but need to know size - i know they're smaller than
the ones for HD's or the main case exterior thumbscrews

Is the 900 really a dust machine? I've heard it is in other forums. Any ideas?

i've heard it can be - thats why i'm fitting third party filters

    like these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/120mm-12cm-BLA...QQcmdZViewItem

meant cutting the front fan mesh ridges at the back a bit to account for the bulge of the filter

i'm also also gonna fit a large roof vent cover to top of case - top prevent dust iingress throught the 200mm fan when it isnt in operation (it's like an apexed piece of plastic roughly 200mm in diameter on approx 3/4" spacers ) it's currently white - but it'll get painted

it definitely is, especially if you are in a dusty environment. though from where i am, we were able to remedy that using scotch brite(its similar to a steel wool only softer plastic material for cleaning pans) with much success and little air pressure lost. but esthetically losses as the fan lights are covered... i believe thats the trade off. i also tried using the darker color...

Thats the one thing I hate about the 900. It's a dust magnet.

Hey guys, I just got the Antec 900 case.

Was wondering how do you take out(and put back) the top and front panel?

    Thanks in advance !

You undo the screws that hold it to the chassis first. Then you release the tabs. The front tabs are a little tricky--I use a long flat object (like a file) to press them forward lightly (go weasy) and be carefully not to pry against the swtch gear (use a flashlight) The top panel will thne lift off easily--the fan is screwed tto the top panel--but unless you are painting or smething you should not have to bother with it.
