Just finish a $700 budget build for my friend with a Frys cpu+ecs combo... and man am I wrong about ECS's overclock ability until I did this myself!
2 hr ortho stable, running the ram at 667 frequency @ 2.0V, 5-5-5-15, vcore @ auto (yes.. no option to change it, only cpu frequency ratio, but hey this is the easiest oc I ever done!)
Everest reports the cpu temp at 30C constantly during idle and load, but its not in the screenshot
System spec:
- Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 G0 - 2.33GHz @ stock --> 3.26GHz @ 40% oc
- ECS G33T-M2 (V1.0) with latest bio (07/05/31)
- Asus Silent Square heatsink
- 2x 1GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800
- EVGA 8600GTS 256MB
- Seagate 7200.10 500GB SATAII
- Coolermaster eXtremePower 500W (avoid this if u have $)
- Lite-On DVD DL SATA
- Ultra XBlaster ATX Case

, a 9700 HSF, etc. Built a 24/7 folder, OC'ed it to 2.8 GHz and so far so good. It folds a WU 2653 in about 15 min (give or take a second or two) I didn't care for the ECS south bridge HS, it looks like a postage stamp. The north bridge cooler is copacetic. I'm in the process of putting a better sink on SB. Lets see how long this ECS board lasts with a mild OC' (fingers crossed, never had much luck with ECS stuff
