Its all aluminium... the only piece of copper in that is the heatpipe itself, and you can see how different it is in both colour and texture to the rest of it

i was surprised to find actual copper in the P35T-DQ6 Gigabyte i got for testing

wonder if the X38 board arriving soon will have copper
knowing how hot the chipset will get it sure as hell needs it :

Excellent, more copper colored aluminium and heatpipes connecting hot elements with other hot elements. Won't they ever learn?

That is a nice board, love the layout with the exception of the pci slot in line with the memory. But hey, gj fitting it in and clearing the pcie and memory better.

All 90 degree sata and ide is the best way to go with the way graphics cards have been growing.

    Thanks for sharing the image.

Well, old pictures seem to be anodized aluminium not copper, and this one looks like real copper:
    ftp://dlsvr02.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/s...nBlock_QIG.pdf

I donīt care about motherboards color, but I care about difference between copper and aluminium.

I hope the picture correct because it looks really good but on the vadim site it lists one of the features as Crosslinx Technology which is something not required on the X38 Chipset so everything on that site might not be 100% correct.
