    Abit IP-35-E

Just got an IP-35-E from Newegg( anymore every box is crushed, they seem thinner walled). So it put a 6300 in it and started to prime it for a short time. I am not a prime nut. A little bit goes a long way for me. I tear down at least twice a week and this is for fun, not mission cruidical.

I will use the 6300 a few days and on the weekend I will try a 6850 in it. So far it seems like a nice board. The price can't be beat.

Droop is bad, needs a pencil mod. Anyone know how?

Do you have a PCI Video card lying around? If so, can you try to see if that board boot with a PCI Video card?
My IP35-E refuse to boot with a PCI Video card and I wonder if all the IP35-E does that.
Have tried enable boot PCI first and disable unused PCI clock.

    Thank you

good luck with the board...doubt if there is a pencil mod available...most likely it will be hard mod like on the Pro board.

Dragonhunter: i know a PCI VC works on the Pro board...might want to try to upgrade the bios...usually that is the only thing keeping it from working with a pci VC; a bios that is not programmed properly to look to the pci slot for video.

    These were the $80 AR.
CPU has a wall at 510. On this board this is the best for memory and cpu.

Always, even when I run stock. I got 3 sets of the 6400's and all will do 600+. I wish I could have bought more when they were so cheap.

I just put it in the PCI-e slot and it worked.

Nice OC. Got to be the end of your cpu as the mb will do 500+ easy.

Put a 4300 in it and wanted to see if it would do 3500 dual 32m. My DFI P965 wouldn't. No problem, I think I can get 100% OC with it on this mb. I really seems to like old cpu's.

, I can't believe that the finished ss didn't take. Oh well, will try 3600.

I got the ip35-e with a tuniq tower and lapped e6600 still not 100% flat tho. Right now orthos stable for 2hrs 3600mhz 1.425 vcore. Load temps are around 54-57c i was running 3700 but its not stable now for some reason need to play with it more but @ 3700 my loads hit 58-59c i like 56c better.

I never knew a mb could make so much difference in an oc. I knew this 4300 was a good chip but did not dream it was as good as it is. Room temp is 78F.

Here the Max 24/7 stable overlock using 1.5475V in Bios, can go higher but not comfortable with the Vcore. Not bad for a $70 shipped board. Cooling is COOLER MASTER GeminII

Hmmm, seems a decent alternative to the lower end Gigabyte boards.

Want me to give you hand while you try for max FSB? My B3 Q6600 is F@H SMP stable at 3650.

Do you know if the Linux 64-bit SMP client running on VMWare Server(SMP capable virtualization) or WinXP SMP client is faster?

Here's my ip35e; I just got it running. OC'ing should be at least on par with the P5B Deluxe that died, so I expect at least 400x9 (3.6ghz). Once I get My D9GKX..
