I'm sad seeing all these awesome 6850 overclocks.

my L722A560 batch cpu has topped out for me at a pitiful 3.4 gHz stable.

I can suicide run it up to 3.5 but it's not even stable for benches.

To get even the measly 3.4 out of it i have to set vcore to 1.5v

just wondering a few things regarding irangans screenshot, how can he have run orthos for 12 hours while rounds are 1/1? 11 hours are 44 rounds for infa.

also, his screenshot says minute - not minutes? is this an old orthos version? are there any difference in calculations done? just curious.

also, his Windows XP clock shows the same time and date as the "Start Time", or am I blind? quite hard to get a screenshot of 12h stable 4 minutes after it's started.

I just had to ask, sorry if I'm wrong.

I not sure whether the orthos that i used is new or not. The version that I used is v0.41.110.18. I just looked some of the SS I have. All of it either 0/0 or 1/1. I never know that is a problem.

I thought 1 minute is a singular. So its shouldnt end 's'. Again, I dont know that is a problem also.

See my SS again. I started at 9.39AM. My SS time is at 9.40PM.

you're right about the AM/PM thingie - I just got the feeling it was edited because it looked so different from the others' screenshots (rounds, minutes) so I suppose I wanted to believe you faked it. Anyway, the AM/PM thingie pretty much tells the truth.

    Sorry for suspecting you

my orthos stable E6850 at 3.9, 1.475 bios. I used custom to test 8k to 1024K in this run.

Regarding the number of passes. If u test small ffts on orthos version v0.41.110.18, it tests only 8K over and over, hence you will see ~44 rounds in 12 hours. If you test blend it will test full range 8K on up, hence 1 round in same length of time.

Regarding priority, you are not testing anything different by using priority 9 instead of 1. (Reasons for using say priority 5 might be to circumvent problems with a screensaver that uses priority 4.) Partial explanation of priority on faq at prime95 site, quote below(orthos is prime95 with GUI)

"The operating system does an excellent job of giving all spare CPU cycles to the program. The only thing that raising the priority will do is make your other jobs less responsive. For example, lets say during the next minute your spreadsheet needs 10 seconds to recalculate. If your spreadsheet is running at a higher priority, then it will take 10 elapsed seconds to display its results. Prime95 will then get the remaining 50 seconds of the minute. If they run at equal priority, then the spreadsheet will get 10 of the next 20 elapsed seconds before it displays its results. Prime95 also gets 10 of the first 20 seconds as well as the remaining 40 seconds. In both cases prime95 got 50 CPU seconds, but in the first case you saw your spreadsheet results faster.
