What a coincidence though - since they are based in Hellas, and is producing a DDR Maximizer lol...

    Hipro, you nutcase

I've wanted to do the exact same thing a few years ago but I gave up due to the budget being exceeded and lack of time.

(Tip)To save some money I had stolen the transformer of my dads electric welding station. (it worked on 400V's primary voltage, so the powercables from the wall outlet to the transformer could be less thick )

It can also have very big (near short) currents wich comes in handy for the current rush you got when powering on (for the capacitor battery to load).

But making a lineair psu for such currents is damn expensive on components and cooling (not to mention the efficiency )

You will find as you look back upon your life that the moments when you have truly lived are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of love !

Hmm Hipro (and hi by the way, danish guy here), I'm not sure those guys there even sell computer parts

I'd look at http://coolerkit.dk (good guys, sponsors octeamdenmark so they should be very open towards selling your products). If they aren't interested in selling hardware such as psu's (their main business is cooling gear) then I'd look at http://shg.dk/ or http://getmore.dk/
Have done business with both and I know they are good people. good luck!
