    you use a floppy, but for $10 you can get a usb key chain drive that you can take with you where ever.

    the rom won't fit on a floppy, but you could boot to a dos boot floppy disk and then access any hard drive in fat 32 format with afudos and the.rom file on it.

    Wasnt more of stupidity in my case, was in terms of how quickly I could get things done which turned out to be a bad idea anyways

    it'll fit just fine on a 2MB floppy... he could also use a zip disk.... although if he went to target he could get a 32MB usb flash drive for $5
