Im confused. You say it ran at 315x11 no problem, but it doesnt work at a lower clock now on the same multi? What HT multiplier you using, 5x?

Ran it at 315*11 no problem, ht multi *3 and *4 no problem. Now it dosen't work at any multiplier other than 15 above stock speeds 3000Mhz. It makes no sense, I know.

Ahah, that does make sense now. My HT link is about 1300 odd. What confuses me even more is that I always lived by the rule that it was to be as close to 1000 as possible, pass on how it works now :<

Could be a CPU issue then. Maybe weak core or something and its gone with high voltage?

Probably... Don't think 1.65v is THAT much though (and that's with ,05 voltdroop).. Never had temps near 60 degrees celcius on it... Well well. As long as it is the cpu and not the board, it's (the cpu) just gonna be used until Phenom X4 comes along anyway.. but it's pretty annoying... No point benching anymore...

Shame Nice chips these. Just managed to get mine at 267x13. Might go for a higher FSB but other settings n RAM need a bit of tweaking (bottomed out in Windoze :o )

13x266 with 667divider for now , the board also likes HTset @5x with the 6000+ , Ive found that it will glitch when trying to use HT3x or 4X with some multis..It will Add 1000mhz in my bios and then give memory error beeps ,its wierd bug i guess..Does it on 11xcpu memory divider/200 and 533divider and also with 14xcpu memory divider200,Hope it can bee fixed with a bios flash. I remember seen a post some where about another M2N32 that was doing simalar thing but with a 5600+@3.3ghz,cant find the post

Ive been playing around with my ram again and have found that on M2n32DeluXe the TRC setting that work best so far are @TRC23,TRC24 and TRC18 for some wierd reason... But @ the stock TRC 21 for 4-4-4-12 it didnt like too run... My ram is 2gig Pc DDR2Patriot6400LLK Rated stock @ 5-5-5-15 2.2v 500Mhz...Im still looking @getting the TRC lower so will repost when i find some more settings that work....Its all trial and error.....Im using 1201 Bios for now seems the most stable...

I am still looking into bioses , i believe the mobo has problems trying to run 800Mhz ram and Over...Ive seen PcDDR2 5300 run more stable...The Patriot i use will do 1100Mhz+ with the same mobo but with my Single core Orleans @2.8ghz ,so i believe it has to do with how the Bios is writen for X2, i may be wrong on this but so far with the TRC it seems to help alot..Lets me use very tight timing when not using the default TRC that pops up in Cpu-Z

Wow you too,Friggen Bios issue that ASUS still hasnt fixed, I was hoping it would of been fixed for the release of 6400 with new bioses but nooooooooo.....

Note: I have a m2n32Deluxe doe the same thing with a 5600+ or 6000+, the conbination of divders and HTx widths causes it but Asus dosnt know why..i was getting pissed when i wanted to use 11xcpu with 533 or 200 it it would do that 4800ghz crap and give memory beeds.......Arg

From what i know As_us is workn on it

Hey try 5xht and SBtoCPU 1.30v ....let me know what happens cuz i have no problem running up to and over 300fsb,My Ht will do 3000MHZ.. stable ..Matter of fact im @2660mhz HT right now waiting for another Radiator so i can get my Chip over 3.5ghzlol

Also check your temps too....1.58vcore gets me 3.48ghz @48load and 1.63 gets me to 3.55ghz @56load close to max temp your supose to run! ,,But i had broke a radiator so am keeping it @3.48 untill new one comes in.

My temps went well high at one point at 1.6V. Only running on Scythe Samurai atm, load temp went nearly 70deg at one point. Slight panic arose! I need to tweak some memory settings too I think re 300+ FSB. Probably set divider to 667 and itll be OK.

Well worked it out. All of a sudden the 800 memclok/divider don't work anymore, so no more 600mhz shots for me (but the multiplier works just fine).
It was a memory related problem after all.

Sucky. At least you discovered the problem though. Unsure if thats whats causing my instability at 267x13. Mem is 1066 and im running 800 divider but its unstable even at 1.6V (5-5-5-15:2T, trc24 async 8ns).

Sigh!

Try it with the 667 divider and you'll see if it is the memory that is causing it.
My system is rock stable at 3405MHz, but not at 3450MHz anymore, so it could be your cpu that's holding you back, 267*13 is 3471MHz after all, that's quite high freq's on air.

I can boot to XP with it like that usually. System crashes on heavy load though, especially 3dMark. Ill drop the divider tonight and see if it makes a difference.

Guess im just used to having an opteron that did 50% OC easily!

You've been spoiled

I can boot into Windows at 3525MHz no problem, but needless to say that is highly unstable

I loved my Opty 165. It wasnt even one of the better ones. 1.8ghz stock, easily did 2.7ghz at just above stock volts. Awesome!

Hopefully my RAM is causing grief at that divider. Ideally Id like to squeeze a wee bit more out of this chip.

Came from a Opty 165 too, but it maxed out at 2,6GHz with 1,55vcore naked, not too hot though.

Your Dominators should cope with a lot higher freq's..

Yeah I hope they can. Ive tried booting it in at 315x11 as well. Really need to tweak mem timings though. Got some rather interesting errors!

Ohhhh no i stay away from the Cpu 11 it will cause the Bios to Go berzerk and read the CPU @ 4800mhz ........ Its a ASUS crap thing....

i will only use 12, 13 , 14 ,15 CPUmultis or it causes havoc with 5600+ or higherCPU's...For some reason it will only do that above 3.2ghz!12x300 for 3.6Ghz is nice though but you need run,@ 533 with good memory to take advantage of it ..

If your really @1.44vcore youll need at least 1.53v-1.61v to be stable above 3.5ghz on air and watch those temps...

The 11 cpu multi sucks too....

I bumped it upto 1.58-1.6v for those speeds (at 1.44 just now 267x12)

Really need to spend some more time and tweak memory settings for higher HT.

Talking we could use a better Bios Talored to the X2 memory controler.

These are nice boards but do require lots of tweaking with the X2's while going for high CPU/Memory MHZ...The onboard CPU/memory controler is more stable when cooled very well with decent Vcore. Phase or Chillled water just makes it easier i guess.

I am using a good water setup myself ,unchilled. I have also ran the FBS High up 300+. If Asus could tweak the Bios a lil better for Memory/divider optimization it would help alot although the memory controler is on the CPU. Ive found you can Overclock higher with lower Memory/divider while using Higher MHZ, If you try using higher memory/divider like 9 instead of 6or 7 it seems to make things worse. The way the bios written it requires lots of Vcore to stabalize it when using a 9 or higher Memory controler divider...at least this is what i have found while OverClocking above 3.5ghz

NOTE: It almost seems there is a small wall to overcome with memory controler and some HT settings as it will result in wierd CPU settings like 4800mhz.... its just crazy.
