I think they meant only ship them the board and not accessories, thats what most motherboard companies (Asus,DFI etc) complete their RMA. i am not sure about Evga/BFG.

Again... I removed the HSF off of this board... Will that count as a modified board and will they honor the RMA for it?

I don't want to loose 2 months of turnaround time and get my original board because it was "modified".

you need to return it to stock, put the old stuf back on and they will honour it.
