    APS@Home addition to the DC-vault

    G'day Everyone,

I have posted on the Vault forum. I have asked for people who currently run the project to post in the thread about it's UP's and DOWN's.

I really would like this project to be added to the DC-Vault..

So pop on by and post ya thoughts about APS

    Hi Rusty

I tried it and processed a lil work but since then I have endlessly received "no work from project" message.

From what I gather the work gets distributed in lil batches rather than a constant flow.

EG: Just this minute tried a connect:

06/09/2007 08:55:12|APS@Home|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user
    06/09/2007 08:55:12|APS@Home|Requesting 1731949 seconds of new work
    06/09/2007 08:55:18|APS@Home|Scheduler RPC succeeded [server version 511]
    06/09/2007 08:55:18|APS@Home|Deferring communication for 7 sec
    06/09/2007 08:55:18|APS@Home|Reason: requested by project
    06/09/2007 08:55:18|APS@Home|Deferring communication for 1 min 0 sec
06/09/2007 08:55:18|APS@Home|Reason: no work from project

    Ho hum.

Hehe, that one seems a bit "at odds" with itself. In order to save electricity a large group of people are expected to leave their computers on 24/7 at 100% cpu usages.
