Greetings

Currently running a rev 1 ds3 and Geil Ultra PC2 6400.
I am happy with the results I've got from this budget ram and was wondering....

Given the ram compatibility with my ds3 would you think it safe to assume it would also work fine with a P35-DS3R?

Also, do you think 1 gig ram sticks would perform as well as my current 512's?
Could accept a minor performance hit but nothing too drastic

(Sorry if my question seems naive but never really been a major student of memory performance.....just a cheapskate cruncher)

You should have no problem. Just about every stick of ram that I have used has clocked as well or better on the p35 from the p965. If you are going with a quad though, you should really have 2gb ram. If that is 4x512, I haven't tried that, but I don't think you'll have any trouble.

The current ram is 2 x 512 and will remain in the ds3 rig.
Running my 6300 at 442 x 7....nothing major but good enough for my 24/7 crunching and decent value.

For the P35 board I intend installing 2 x 1gig sticks.
