Score low is not mobo or memory problems. It's Crossfire problems.

You cannot overclock vga card when you use Crossfire. You must flash 2900XT BIOS.

Here is testing flash bios. You can compare with this score

ROFL well imagine running card in Xfire and scoring 12K in 06 with a quad core

    it's just bad

we had the cards for the benching weekend last weekend and because of this special bios we were REALLY disappointed

i learned today that only a select few people received these special bioses and they are in fact able to edit the bios but every person that received one has a special ID string so they can't even share the ing things

why is ATI shooting themselves in the foot

If you have got 12K the problem is on antoher side, i got 13300 single card a little bit OC and with dual core around 4.1ghz.... Verifiy perhaps if your cfire is enabled, with a dual card and a good OC on quad, you should see fast 19-20K (with cards at stock)

Now this question of bios for cfire OC is really a problem, i don't understand too why this limitation, there's no ahrdware reasons, the 2900 in single OC really well, i don't see why don't let us play with cfire at start, it look more like a question of tools... it should be fixed with next drivers.. or if a tool can OC the cards is released..

For me it sounds that they are shooting themselves in both foots.
i think it too bad by a company that are fighting with Nvidia and do this thing such as holding special bios for few selected people if AMD/ATI will lead the war why not let those bios out so people can and will run this cards at higher speed that they are supposed to handle and can handle.

For me its so stupid that theres no word for it

I know cpu score is lower than 680i, but sm 2.0/3.0 is so higher than others when you flash CF's BIOS.

I just let you know CF bios is so important for Crossfire. Premium is still 16X+4X. I didn't use 8+8X to compare with your score.

Good Luck, Great CPU and overclcok.
