I just tried the 2206 BIOS and the CPU fan still runs at 100% also there is another problem where you cannot disable the onboard Audio.

So I thought I'd give the 2301 BIOS a go just to see and it seems to be the same as the 2206 but I put the audio into vista mode and then disabled it, so now it seems to be detected as a unknown device.

I'm just using speedfan to get my cpu fan down to 75%-80% so it's not noisy, need to find something similar for linux now tho

I notice the BIOS program only allows updates aswell, I was going to try the 1305 or even 1503 BIOS if I could get it to force a downgrade

I tried loads of BIOSes but ended up going all the way back to the 1305 which I was already on before.

    BIOS's I tried:

1305 - been running it for nearly a year, no probs so far
1503 - CPU Fan Problem (100% all the time)
1506 - CPU Fan Problem (100% all the time)
1601 - CPU Fan Problem (100% all the time)
2004 - CPU Fan Problem (100% all the time) - had hardware crash in quake4
2206 - CPU Fan Problem (100% all the time) & Unable to disable onboard Audio
2301 - CPU Fan Problem (100% all the time) & Unable to disable onboard Audio
