hopefully we can get some cracked SLI drivers as well for testing hey
I understan that they are encrypted with 128 bit.
But why not just throw them on a Supermicron with 2 Quards and break it.

http://www.octeamdenmark.com/forums/...read.php?t=504 AND Intel IS PISSED because of the no SLI support!
Hope they squash them or do somthing bad

Supposedly the P35-DQ6 is going to reach end of life already since the X38 DQ6 will be priced very similarly so that might be a good idea of where it will fall.

Gigabyte still lacks in a few places.

    1) They need a LED on the board that indicates if power is on or off. I mean, even intel boards have this.

    2) CMOS battery location is retarded, but it has improved

Overall, gigabyte has definitely improved the most as of late. Really pleased with the quality/performance of P35-DQ6. Directly put up against P5K Deluxe/Premium, they do one heck of a job running neck and neck.

Probably the most under rated board as of late.

Yep, even my brother's P35C-DS3R has been running pretty rock solid. Quality overall has improved from Gigabyte to the point they're pretty competitive with ASUS.

Now they just need to improve their feature-set a bit more.

My dream though is that Intel releases the DX38BT Bone Trail in DDR2 flavor since all I've seen so far is DDR3 flavor

you are right about the LED
it was a bit unnerving waiting for the board to do the powerdown (takes a while) and powerup again...LED light would help >>> i was shocked how well it clocked CPUs but for results i have to wait a little before i'll post them until the magazine article gets published

There was a review of the Gigabyte P35 vs the Asus Delux. Seems that as one overclocked the Asus and the Gigabyte, the Asus pulled away. Was put down to timings on the chipset in the gigabyte board. Also after ~1100 Ram, things get ropey for the Gigabyte.

I really don't see why everyone though X38 would support SLI, there was never a good solid statement saying that it would.

The second picture shows it has 2, and if it is the same as the P35-DQ6, it comes with a 4 eSATA via that hook up to the internal sata ports and they go in PCI slots.

Is it just my eyes or does that say DDR3 1066/1333 when those slots are DDR2...

Anyways, would it even be worth getting these first revision boards? I mean, what are the odds they come as stable as the P35 first revision boards were or should we expect more of a P965 style...

I know but the physical slots themselves look like DDR2 to me as do the labels for each slot number
