Well I have gotten the JMicro CD-RW/DVD situation under wraps! I downloaded the latest JMicro drivers and noticed that it gives you the option for Raid SCSI Drivers and Normal IDE Drivers so just installed the IDE Drivers rebooted and couple of problems corrected was even able to update Plextor 230a Firmware and now after reboot it shows as Plextor 230A in Device Manager instead of just Generic CDROM

@ Ace-a -Rue hey can you rewind one page and take a look at what I posted and tell me what you think of my settings at current O.C? ....Thank Brother...

But I showed my HDTune, and I got a good deal of improvement. Why do I have to enable it but others don't in order to get a high speed?

My voltages are the following for 500 x 7:

    vCPU - 1.45
    CPUvtt - 1.35
    vMCH - 1.72
    vIO - 1.19
    vICH - 1.65

that's the point i was trying to make to "scwam"....HDTune is a more relevant bench to check your drive speed.

that's the 64 million dollar question and i do not have an answer for you.

have you run hdtune with a before and after?..post the both the benches in here so we can see them...did you disable any performance items in the bios like "IDE Bus Master" in the 'onchip sata device' menu?

No I did not disable any features except the PATA/eSATA controller because I don't need it.

Congrats on the chip. I hope it's good to you.

I am pretty sure that I used the correct driver... but at one point during the install... when you hit the 's' key to pick the one to install.. it had 3 options. The first was to install a ARCH (don't know what it is called) driver that is for the Intel. At the end of it said - (ICH9H Desktop). The third option was to install the Intel SATA driver that was also for ICH9H, but it did not say it was for desktop.

I picked the third one because it was the only one that had SATA.

i hit 4.0 Ghz...i couldn't run everest stability test for very long...probably needed more voltage but i was hesitant from pouring it on.

i am sitting at almost 3.8 Ghz with a actual vcore of 1.42v...AMAZING!...i could go to 3.7 Ghz on the B3 but it needed about 1.58v to 1.59v.
