I just downloaded the Intel Raid Manager (version 7.6).

It has an option to enable volume-write back cache.

Oh and by the way the volt droop mod works perfectly. 1Kohm 22 turn pot and really steady hands = hardly any droop at all. Set 1.46 gets idle 1.455v to 1.452 at load. Previously 1.53v in bios = 1.455v

Could you post a screen shot of where to enable/disable?
Can't seem to find it on the "Intel Matrix Storage Manager Console"
    v. 7.6.0.1011.
