Need help!!!! SK8N "unlocked" BIOS - somebody!
Ok, i'm playing with FX-51 now and SK8N... Max clock with default Vcore is 2.45GHz. But that f##### BIOS couldn't adjust anythingOf course, multis are locked too.
JC or somebody else - HEEEEEEELP!
TNX in advance. And if possible, try to do it within next 3-4 hours

Well i don't have any "secret" bios, but i can give you the adress for the asus ftp if you don't got there latest bios.

the latest ones unlock it. 1003.003-004-005.....
you need rev 1.03 mobo in order to gain access to multiplier goodness. Check whether you got rev 1.03, or 1.02 first.
i tried 003 and 005... Both can't adjust anything... Probably the board was 1.02 - we've already packed that rig (it came from AMD as complete setup).

I tried 003 on a rev 1.03 SK8N and FX-51, no dice. Only CPU clock is adjustable, no multi or Vcore options. Back to 1001 for me in the mean time.

That's the SK8N BIOS section on the support site. Clicking the BETA button shows the 003 for me and nothing else.
Am I being blind? I can't find it on their FTP sites either.

006 is a no go too. Hmm. Seems like something else is needed for the options to appear, other than an FX-51, a 1.03 SK8N and certain BIOS.
Weird thing is, before this box had to go back for repair (dead PSU), it had the options. It came back from the vendor and boom, no unlock options.
Puzzling and annoying! I've only got DDR333 Registered, so I need to unlock while pushing the CPU to keep the dividers sane.

Are you using WinXP?
Is there some sort of thing like Gigabyte has where you have to press Ctrl F1 to get the advanced bios menu? What the hell is going on here with these bioses. It doesn't make any sense if it is working one minute and not the next on the same rev. #.
So asside from the multiplier thing, what is the best bios to use?
