    C2D Max Frequency WR

BOTH my 2900XT went to heaven, so I figured I had to do something with the remaining LN2. So how about putting the X6800 back where it belongs? This old beast has finally awaken, it's a week 24!

ASUS P5W64 WS Pro vcore+vmem+vmch+ovp mods
    X6800 L624A609
    2x1GB Mushkin XP2-8500 1:1 3-3-3-5
    S3 Trio64+ PCI gfx
    Silverstone Zeus 850W

Cooled by Mousepot Rev 3, performed on Dimastech Benchtable.

    Edit:

Some more good stuff and some pics.

SPi 1M, don't mind the time please...

And a QX6700 L632Axxx @ 1.9v idle, 1.86v under load. The cpu is Chefnr1's which he kindly lend me for testing.

And some pictures of the hardware of course:

Yep, I'd hate it too. If I only had this chip when C2D was released, now 45nm is closing in

L624a is probably the best stepping for x6800. There are many great 5ghz results with this stepping, while week 24 was one of the first retail weeks lol.

I updated the first post with some more goodies.

The 2900XTs died probably because the power regulation area was not cooled enough. About L624 the reason why they have not gotten these results before is mainly because noone has dared to try this kind of voltage (2v+)
