I don't blame you for being frustrated - trust me, I am just as annoyed, if not more so. We're doing the best we can though, and to be fair, we only promised to ship as quickly as possible, never a specific ship date. We had REALLY hoped to ship on Monday, until we got hit with the very unpleasant surprise of getting all B3's Friday night

Trust me, I don't want this to take any longer than it has to either

This ship date posted is when it will actually ship, unless aliens come and beam up the FedEx truck before it gets to us I've secured quite a few chips from the one reliable supplier who has sent us chips in the past. I know for a fact they are G0, and I have tracking #'s from FedEx so I know they are on the way, to be delivered to us tomorrow. For what it's worth, I'm also throwing any and all profit on these out the window, and I paid to overnight every CPU that we got this week to our warehouse so we could ship out to you guys as quickly as possible. I know you are all sick of waiting

Honestly, do you know how the process works? Trying to specifically get G0 is probably very hard especially the fact that no one wants to sit in a warehouse trying to pick through processors.

IF you parents screwed you over for something, are you going to dispose them and get another set of parents?

Be reasonable bro. Atleast give some credit to tank for supplying G0s to enthusiasts.

Very bad comparison. Most adults don't compare parents to a hardware supplier.

Do you know what these guys have been through trying to get guaranteed 'G0' steppings? This is not a huge operation that these guys are running like clubIT or Newegg. They took a huge hit when they got all 'B3'. Cut em some slack.

Tankguys will certainly have my business again

They are a small company, providing a great service by working their asses off getting everyone a guaranteed G0.....have some respect and gratefulness for what they are doing.

The only thing that would be even better if they did what Tony's friends at gladiatorcomputers were doing, and pretesting stable clocks of the G0's

Keep up the good work Tankguys

again, your option to order from them...still doesn't address their hiccups in providing the "G0's" they promised as of a specific date...maybe they shouldn't guarantee it at all....or...even say they have a specifc date to get them by.

when i promise something, i will keep that promise...if i have doubt that my promise could be in jeopardy of fulfilling then i will refrain from making it.

It's not a matter of sifting through the warehouse. I was shipped my G0s in the same way that they were shipped to the distributor, in a box from intel w/ a Qty of 5 in it.

I'm sure they come in even larger boxes of 6 or so of these boxes in it. Don't try to make it sound like these things are individually packaged and shipped. You get them in crates!

USPS tape is mine. The box is convenient for storing the empty boxes / sinks

Ok so since the "parental" scenario is extreme and unacceptable as brought up in an earlier post.

Say someone from XS buys something from you? say a G0 Q6600 and you sell it from the classified part of the forum. Ok so now you say your going to sell it at $250+shipping, no less, no more. As part of the shipping arrangements the buyer pays you lets say $300 for guaranteed 3 day shipping + insurance if it is damaged.

Send it out on August 1st lets say, its picked up by UPS and sent Guaranteed 3day shipping before 5pm. So that would put it at being delivered on the 3rd/4th depending on how fast it processes. All goes well but, ooops the package got lost in a hub and sent the completely wrong direction, now it becomes a week shipment time.

It arrives a week later when the person paid for 3day guaranteed, however it did turn out a G0.

Thats a shipping error, not the seller or buyers fault. Exact same thing that happened with Tankguys, however they only promised shipping times that you paid for from the date they received the chips they were informed were "G0's" only....but the shipment comes in most recently on Monday, turns out they are B3's this is not their fault ,it is their supplier. But if they were G0's you would bet money you will receive it in the timeframe of the shipping you paid for.

Simply does not make any sense to blame a reseller for a bad shipment from their provider.

Just my take on you guys being rabid about the whole G0 situation, Tankguys didnt even have to try anything at all, and could just have supplied B3s as they got them and turned over their profits. However they saw the market for them, and the demand from the enthusiast and catered to that at very competitive prices no less. Look at the money Newegg, ZipZoomFly, and other Etailers that did not list specific steppings made in people buying and getting a B3, either deciding to keep it and eat the $300, resell for $200-250, or simply bite the bullet RMA it and eat the 15% restocking fee.

Take it as you will, but you should all be grateful for the service being provided by Tankguys, and that they are busting their balls to get you guys these G0's that are the most sought out thing right now.

EDIT: and unless I am wrong, Tankguys never promised a specific date, only a timeframe. And I would say they have kept to that timeframe despite setbacks like being sent an entire shipment of B3's

I had an original preorder top 100 I think, and had to cancel because of setbacks in available cash vs credit. But I never once saw an exact date posted, or sent to my email, and I renewed my order with them, and still have never seen an exact date other than them saying the 2nd shipment of G0's should have been the Monday they got the B3's, and now August 17th orders will be processed and shipped. Please correct me if anything I have said is incorrect.

    Use CoreTemp .94
Your temps are 15c lower, it has something to do with the 100c Tjunction.

Anyway, what are the chances of getting a G0 after the holidays? (Yes, I know something better will come out, but Ive always been behind) And, what are ther advantages of G0, just lower voltage/temp?

^^ Well said. I received my 'G0' from tankguys yesterday. I was one of the one's that stuck out my original order. According to the pre-order line i was 186th in line. Thank god a bunch of suckers bailed out and i got one of the G0's from the first shipment of 150. They even responded to an email i sent on a SUNDAY! That is unheard of from any company. Tankguy's pwn's and they will get more of my business in the future. No specific date's were ever promised. Only guesstimates of expected arrival and ship dates. To be honest even if i didn't get a G0 i would have accepted and understood getting a crap shipment that ended up being B3's. I may have been pissed about my luck (much like the folks at tankguy's probably were) but i certainly would not whine about it and blame the reseller for something that is out of their control.

From Ace: "i'm sick of TankGuys and their promises!..never again!"

Really? How many times did they not deliver on a promise for you? You make it sound like this is just one of many.

Yes I get money from Tankguys , I guess anyone that makes logical discussion that includes the defense of a company against people making illogical statements with things that were never guaranteed in the first place must mean they are bankrolled to defend it. Must mean all the people that are fanboys of ATI and Nvidia, and Intel - AMD must be bankrolled to defend it with such conviction.

Not saying that all defenses must originate from a fanbase of a company, just simply that the defense I put up was because when it comes to G0's and getting them from companies and things going wrong people go ape for no reason, unless they were expressly promised something by the Etailer, or person they spoke with regarding them, be it pricing, availability, or specific shipping dates as in on paper, in an email that you will have a G0 on your doorstep in 2days time guaranteed.

Just making a point for civility sake.

    TankGuys,

Thank You for the hard work, got my Q6600 GO L723A825 today!

As far as I understood, there was no guarantee on shipping date. The only guarantee was a Q6600 GO! You got screwed over by your supplier and it goes down the food chain and yes you're in the middle to recieve all hell. Your mistake was to keep everyone up to date with the best case scenario before you got to see the inventory being sent to you and it bit you. Maybe it would have been best to let the anxious cancel their orders instead of having complaints like this.

Ok, so your order as of 8/7 was processed and paid for and the delivery company was notified of your purchase, and that you will have a package to be picked up and shipped to you, and you were probably given a tracking number just as I have been, and they are now awaiting the product to send you.

As of 8/10 their shipment came in, it was all B3's you were notified just the same as all the others. And the rest of the quoted text below speaks for itself on the status of all the current G0 orders with Tankguys.

Please correct Me if I am wrong, but where in your email did they specifically say your item has been packaged and shipped? I see only "Pre-Order Complete" at the end, which is really what matters. They had no G0's at the time of your order, thus why you did not receive your processor at the $40 overnight/1day timeframe.

And the use of should, is a generalization if my knowledge of the English language is correct. Like if I tell you something should be somewhere, it most likely is without a specific location. Should ship this week means its up in the air.

08/10/2007 Back Order [PAID] Our shipment of Q6600s arrived tonight, as planned. Despite our being told they were G0s, all of them were B3s. As such, we have been forced to delay shipping to customers until we can source more confirmed G0s.

We have been working extremely hard to get these chips in as quickly as we can, and have done everything we can to keep you updated as changes happen.

Given this incredibly disappointing turn of events, we will refrain from posting any ETA until we have G0s in hand, so we can absolutely confirm a ship date.

We are extremely sorry about this delay, and we will continue to work extremely hard to secure the G0s, as promised.

We will likely be swamped with e-mails and questions, so please bear with us if we are slow to respond.
08/13/2007 Back Order [PAID] ETA Update 8/13-

We have been allocated enough G0 processors to cover all remaining orders. This is the same supplier who provided us the original 150, so this information is considered reliable.

We are working out the logistics of shipping those processors to us, and expect to start shipping on Wednesday, and to continue through Friday. Barring any more extreme circumstances, we should have all orders shipped by Friday.

We will be updating your order once it ships, and you are more than welcome to ask any questions in the meantime. Thank you again for having been so patient through all of this, we greatly appreciate the business!
