have you lapped either heatsink?...i do not lap the IHS since that is an illusive proposition with getting desired results...you get better results concentrating on the bottom of the heatsink.

are you running the fan on the tuniq at full speed?

are you priming in the case?...have you tried taking the side cover off to see how much difference it makes?

I haven't lapped cpu or heatsink *yet* although with these temps I am sure considering it. ya, its running in the case with side off with the fan at high speed

yea i like tank guys they have excellent customer service. too bad i canceled and went over to clubit. since they said they had them in stock. tank guys dont have and ETA. but i will do business with them again

that should be your mission; to lap the Tuniq.

thats an extremely low VID. I'm curious on the difference between that and the ones with 1.2x VID

so far around 3300 @ 1.32v. wont post at 3400. temps are outrageous, like 48c idle 75c load with ultra120. so much for the legend about low vid.

whoa! That's insane... I guess lower VID really does mean higher temps are ahead. Recheck your HSF install before making any rash conclusions.

reported wrong. vid is 1.2000v, which is still pretty low, tho. hs/f is ok. small possibility it could be 680i.

it could be the bios reporting incorrectly...even if it is coretemp, there is no guarantee that it is right with this new step!

so i guess the general idea is Low vid may yield a higher OC, at a cost for oven like temps.

3600 so far, 1.35v vcore in windows, temps 48c idle, 75c load.

wont post at 9x400, but runs fine at 8x450. but this is probably my mainboard. cores 0 and 1 are running about 10c higher than 2 and 3 in idle.

all core are around 61C.

Try to run coretemp 0.95 to check your vid. The VID of my Q6600 G0 from clubit is 1.2250v, vcore is 1.088v @ idle when speedstep kick in.

No, I am reselling and making money. The US is a capitalist society and we're all trying to make money. I'm a business, LLC to be exact, and I'm with everyone else trying to make a dollar. I'm actually just trying to pay for my home machine to be upgraded.

Yes, I have a problem with it. There is a difference between getting them from a distributor and buy them when a item first comes out and making a buck because of lack of availability. This happened before on XS and I posted the same thing before.

If you can feel good about what your doing then you have to live with it, just don't come here posting about how you bought or tried to buy 24 cpu's to resale on ebay when members here couldn't get theirs.

I am an old American and sometimes because something is legal or "the American way" doesn't make it right.
