Striker Extreme won't boot with 1303 bios.

    Hello,

I flashed yesterday the new bios labeled 1303

    Striker Extreme BIOS version 1303
    1. Enhance CPU overclock capability of FSB1333 processors
    2. Add new CPU uCode to support new processors
    3. Enhance memory compatibility

Then I restarted the pc and now nothing appears on the screen
on the lcd poster there's a error message : DET DRAM

Need some advice what shall I do now?

clear cmos/remove battery for an few hrs then
try flash back to 1301 bios in ms-dos.

But, this is not good, I was very close to flashing my 1301 bios to this 1303...
if my striker died on me if flashed to 1303.
I would be very upset as this already happened to me to 2-P5N32-E's
    and 1 striker XE already....

if all fails my guess guys get an RMA going....

Mine boots ,you did reset to bios defaults before flashing?
I do find with this bios I need to add more vcore for the same overclock I had on bios 1301, I was running 1400mhz fsb on stock volts with old bios on this bios i need to run 1.4 volts very strange.

    Sorry to hear mustang

I would try the others suggestions.

    FYI 1303 allow me to go beyond 449Mhz FSB () to 500+ (still testing - using a 2.66 e6750 @ 3.6 as I type .. )

keep trying if you board allows - although I must admit you need active cooling on a 680SLI board if you want results.

    I went 1303 to get more than 449 FSB - currently I'm on 500 -

    Hmmmm.......Two things might have happen.....
    1. Bad flashing and
    2. Same problem I had with bios 1301...

    1. Try to find a friend of yours bios chip or mobo so to hot flash yours and
    2. IF you use "SLI Ready" memory modules, you HAVE to take them out and place into slot one DDR Module NOT "SLI Ready" (ex. a 533 one) to boot.....AND IF you are trying to boot with VGAs in SLI config, take them of and place only one or a PCI VGA.....

@ Ambro: Does this bios have AGAIN the HTT frequency option? (SP > MP frequency below the PCI-E frequency settings?)

Yay I'm back on track that battery trick worked also for me. I waited approximately 1 hour.

After the screen went on I just noticed in the bios there was a CMOS Checksum error so I loaded the default setting and it works well so far.

But i can't guarantee that this will work for all of you so be careful when flashing your striker bios.

thank you all for your help

Nope works fab here , maybe a reflash helps ? did you reset the bios to defaults, reboot and then set settings again ?
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

    Hey Leeghoofd,

Yup i did that I set the bios to default and the usb controller is enabled.
I just checked all usb ports and noticed that only one port is working.

Tried reflashing or flashing back to an older bios... didn't have a USB problem when going to 1303 just det ram, had to boot with one stick reboot set appropriate voltage and all was fine again.... also the USB slots on the bottom don't work anymore ?
