    I received my IP35 Pro on Friday and got it up and running with my QX6700. The problem is DIMM slots 1 and 2 appear to be completely dead. Tried 3 differents sets of RAM and only #3 and 4 work. So it will be going back shortly.

    In the mean time I played around with it and managed to get 500x7 mostly stable. It would Prime for over an hour no problem but I experienced occasional reboots and freezes. A little more tweaking might have got it stable but I'm not going to waste too much time on a broken board. I'll try again when the replacement gets here.

    I saw your oc to 3700. I tried this since a few days but cant get it stable.
    Did you ever run with your config Everests "System Stability Test"?

    I can run mine on 3700, but not stable enough for 24/7. What else have you
    set in uGuru? MCH Voltage? ICH Voltage? Anything else?

    I hope you can give me a hint.

    no, i have not run the stability test in everest...my definiton of 24/7, stable computer, is posted above. each user is going to be different...so far my puter hasn't done any of those things to me so i'm still meeting my definition of stable!

    EDIT:...ACTUAL BIOS VOLTAGE FOR VCORE IS SET TO 1.6325...that is an actual 1.58 which fluctuates between 1.56 to 1.59...i do not intend on keeping this cpu for 3 years.

    i did everest stability test...i initially had a problem with running it in all four modes (cpu, fpu, cache and memory)...it would randomly reboot...but i just did the FPU, by itself, for about 20 minutes and then rengage all them and it handled it for 6 minutes...that is all i did before losing interest.

    here, again, are my voltage settings (bios set to 1.6325 for Vcore)...i should mention that my GTL is set to 69%.

    Thanks for the attempt with Everest.

    I've tried similar values a few days ago, but as i said, Everest Stress Test
    of all four Components, CPU/FPU/CACHE and Memory at the same time failed. Yes,
    i can do Internet, writing in Word, start Excel but with applications they uses
    all four cores, my rig will do a hard power off.

    Only at 4x450 (3600) i'm able to run my rig unter full load stable.

    For me as 24/7 BOINC User its essential that my Computer runs unter full load.

    6 minutes doing all four everest tests simultaneous is an eternity to me and it is comparable in my mind of being 24/7

    1.55v is stable at 3.9GHz for my cpu but I'm worried about volts. I'm thinking of lapping my CPU in hopes of better temps/slightly better clock. I might also do the vdroop mod and see if it helps with stability

    I notice your CPU VTT is 1.3, did that help marginally in clocking?

    I notice your CPU VTT is 1.3, did that help marginally in clocking?

    Any ideas why I still can't post at 520mhz?
    i won't be staying with this Q6600 for more than a year and a half...my wife will get it as a gift.

    as far as volts go for the vcore, it is up to you to figure out how long you will have it in your puter case...intel warranties them for 3 years if it is a retail copy...whatever makes you comfortable.

    i find that 1.31v set in the bios for CPU VTT is slightly better than say at 1.27v.

    OH!...6 minutes running everest stability, in my book, is a good as running it 24/7

    EDIT:..i can't beyond 505 FSB at 7X, not even 6X...so...feel lucky if you can post at 515

    don't feel bad. i got a first bad board as well.

    mine though was a problem with the vdimm vtt not tracking properly.

    it was almost 1/3 of the vdimm voltage (rather than 1/2)!!!

    other than that, this board has been good to me so far.
