thats the only thing i can think of, this is my 1st intel build but didnt think it was going to give me this much trouble

btw, no1 has answered my question

is it "better" to put the voltage on 1.4 or put 1.3 and +.1 overvoltage?

my old a8n32-sli had a limit of 1.4 so if you wanted anything above that you had to use overvolt option.. this isnt the same case for this mb right?

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forums.
I have a concern with what SpeedFan 4.32 is reporting as the system temp at, 46 C idle @ 333 MHz FSB. I used AS5, putting a dab in the center of the chip and then fastening down the block (springs). Does 46 C seem high for the northbridge? Options?

    Thanks.

Note: I still have my Crazycool Plate on the backside of the board. I removed the screw holders, gently tapping with a hammer, came off easily.

I dont seem to recall FSB voltages in bios. I think you got something mixed up. There is only overvolt control in bios for fsb not both, at least p35c is like that.

i wish i had a camera to show you but it allows you to change the voltage and also use overvolt option, i dont see how come the p35c wouldnt have an option to change the vcore and only give options for overvolt

Anyone know how to measure with a multimeter the actual fsb voltage? I gotta set mine to +0.3 to get stable operations at 400mhz fsb. I do have a lot of cooling (water on cpu, two fans blowing on ram/chipset, + case fans blowing air through), but I find that a bit scary (motherboard temp only says 45c though).

And does anyone run 4x bricks of ballistix memory? Those get realllly hot on this board for me, the ram slots seems really really close together, and if I touch my finger on the bottom of the ddr modules, it's very very hot.. even on stock voltage

my 2.5 divider hasn't worked on f2, f4b, and now f4g bios. anyone else notice this? 2.4 works, 2.0, 3.0, but nothing on 2.5. weird.

zsamz I think your board died because of another reason. not the memory voltage. I think it died because you used 510FSB on a 24/7 basis. Those kind of FSB can only be set with exceptional cooling to the NB and MCH. I wouldn't do anything above 450 FSB on a board.

Can anyone confirm if F4G gives the ability to set memory to 1150 mhz?

the spd table is nothing to worry about usually.. what you should be thinking about is what your actual timings are...

for some reason i am unable to run the ram @ in sync (2) even when evety thing is at deafult settings, if use 2 the system will start and shutdown a few times then will boot up with default settings. sometimes it will boot but will get tons of errors in memtest (tried upto 2.5v vdimm) but i can use 2.50 and 2.50 without problems anyone else having this problem?

I've just flashed to the official F5L on my DQ6 and a piece of unknown hardware has appeared on my system that I can't find a driver for.

    any ideas?

i disagree. i've ran the ds3 p965 version the last 10 months or so at 500 fsb no prob. +.3 on both mch and fsb and that's how i have this p35c. it's all about temps imo and what others have posted. i don't wc, but get good air cooling parts and as5 on everything.

as for 1150, i couldn't get there with the 2.5 divider, but got that and into the 1200's with the 2.4 or 3.0 divider. try other fsb/divider combos to get there if you're having trouble with your first attempts

I received a P35-DS4 and I think it's DOA. With or without hardware installed it always gives 3 beeps, then a pause and then it gives another 7 (making a total of 10). PSU is tested and proven to be working fine. I tried resetting the CMOS and reinstalling the cables: still the same. There is nothing shorting. I pushed the reboot button many many time, but to no avail.

Is this a known issue, or is it just faulty?

Mine done the same thing, I thought that it might have just been because maybe I did not load a driver for something to begin with. After flashing and disabling everything I did not need in the bios it went away so its something I have disable in the bios I think...
