    Xeon X3210 initial info

    Batch code: L648G443
    stepping: B3
    pack date: 05/30/07

I got this from proadvantage for $255 shipped. It will pass all 3D tests at 3.6GHz/1.5vcore but fails Prime95 within minutes. Increasing vcore to 1.55 will make it run Prime95 longer (I shut it down after 30mins due to heat). But it is currently running 3.45GHz at 1.42vcore. With some more tweaking I am sure I can get it to 3.5 but for starters this is petty good IMO. I am going to let it run a while longer but at 1 hour I am going to shut it down so I can on my temps, perhaps remount the HSF or add another fan to do the push/pull thing. Or finish my WC setup and see where the temps go.

    System specs:

    Asus P5K-Deluxe
    Crucial 10th anniversary (2x1GB) 2.2vdimm 4-4-4-12
    BFG 7950GT OC
    Silverstone strider 850W
    WD250GB Satall
    Plexter 716A
    TR 120 Ultra Extreme

is there a discrepancy with the speedfan temp compared to the coretemp readings for this chip?

I run my X3210 at 450x8 on WCG 24/7 at 1.53v on water. I'm also on a P5K DLX.. Although this cpu did the same exact oc on the Gigabyte DS3R.

SP33D, is that 1.65 vCore correct? That seems awfully high for a ~3GHz clock on a 1.250 VID chip... or was that just a work in progress?

Just our of curiosity guys, will an X3210 do 3.2Ghz on an Abit IP35 Pro pretty easily? I don't really need more than 3.2 and would upgrade from my E6400 only to have more cores.

    Thanks in advance
