I'm calling bull on it. EDRAM is very unlikely.

Also 4xAA is not required for DX10.1. 4xAA is required as a minimum for software support.

    Thank you

    "built-in audio chip" ?

Kind of redundant, now that most motherboards have onboard audio?
It would just increase the cost of the card.

if im right the 2900 cards got a onboard sound chip this so the HDMi connector u can hook up to it also has sound.

So i guess its simply a copy of that.

and the specs could be true cause cause its only a few months from release so specs should b final i guess.

Those prices seem pretty reasonable, if this is real of course. But if it is, nice find! Going to see alot of 8800s up for sale now.

But those specs seem like the poster just took some specs from R600 and then added in stuff we know about G9x and bam you have 9800GTX.

Would be kinda funny if they do include the edram. I remember a interview with ati about the xbox360 saying the edram for "free AA" wouldnt have a purpose in the pc world. Then nvidia use's it heh.

As long as the boards are PCIE 2.0 capable we should be fine. I'm still hoping for driver support for X38 in SLI if I happen to get 9800s <begs to nvidia>. I don't think that enthusiast PCIE 2.0 boards in November will have any problems with 9800s in SLI(that is boards with SLI support).

To add further to the additional focus on anti-aliasing in DirectX 10.1, support for a minimum of four samples per pixel (in other words, 4x anti-aliasing) is now required (Although this doesn't necessarily mean that support for 2x anti-aliasing in hardware and drivers is a thing of the past).
It is not REQUIRED to run in 4x AA, but is the minimum DX 10.1 supports.

From what I am reading 10.1 improves multi core utilization and more pretty shadows.

    not true!

what's mandatory is programmable AA, not the value.

How compatible will these be with P35 boards tho? I was gonna get a 9800GTS sometimes in Q1 2008. PCI-E 2.0 won't be a requirement right?

They will work fine in PCIe 1.0.
