I mean those boards could run fsb 1333 and way higher before as well... from what i can see all they changed is "putting an extra sticker on the box"

Doesn't have to do with that. If your board clocks to 333mhz and doesn't have the necessary 1333 FSB support your M/B won't boot the 1333 FSB cpu anyway. You need a bios with 1333 FSB support or else you will have to get use to a black screen while you try to boot.
