biggest problem with G0 chips is FSB wall.
Your 517 (for 750/850) on air is already enough and add 40+ with xtreme cooling

Sure it's all luck 6x00 had the same problem although the lowest wall I personally had was around 450.

450 or there abouts will do me....
maybe ill ditch it and buy some other junk instead
need guinea pigs to buy some so i can see

    most e6600's are/were at 3.2-3.6 on air
...based on the little info. it looks like 6x50's will be 3.6-4.0 on air mostly.
still a nice little revision imo.
4.2 on water should be a sinch

Our Core 2 Duo E6750 sample was a particularly great overclocker, at stock voltage with a retail Intel heatsink/fan we were able to run the system at 3.68GHz (460 x 8.0):

No, 6750 will have same multi and price as current 6420. 6550 will have same multi and price as current 6320. You're just starting from a much higher stock.

7x multi isn't going to cut it for goals of 4ghz unless you have board and ram that can do 571

the difference is negligible. itīs just transition to higher fsb, intel wants people to switch to 3-series chipsets, since old chipsets dont "officially" support 1333 MHz bus. thatīs intel, always pushing for new things, which is not bad i guess.

Damn, is it my impression or the E6850 has 8x multi?

    wish it would be 10.

I was looking for the E6700 and if E6850 really gets a 8x multi, i should probably then move to the 6700.

    Any tips from ya guys?
