Not sure. It's my understanding the Ninja even outperforms the HSF i'm using (Infinity). Have you tried re-installing the heatsink? Maybe you used too much paste? Maybe the CPU needs to be lapped? I have lapped my CPU and load temps dropped approx 5C. Under full load(2 instances of prime) i hit 55C (room temp approx 80F). I'm sure once it cools down a bit here it will be considerably lower.

Some of the results you have seen here are truly 'cherry' cores. I consider 1ghz over stock a damn good overclock. Saying you can't hit 3375 with 1.375 is not a big deal. Like i said. I didn't get stable @ 3.2ghz until putting CPU voltage up to 1.42v. Time to give it more juice!

@ Nanok: Please tell me you are not complaining about 1.2ghz above stock on stock volts.
Sorry about that, i'll get them posted up as soon as possible. There is screenshots of my cpu being stable at 3.2ghz @ 1.28v loaded though

Some test over a 6420 in a unit made for a quadcore:

I was limited by the gigabyte p35 ds3r Vcore and fsb, times are really bad because we don't fine tune the memory.

The whole process from taking a screenshot and uploading it takes about 1 minute tops. I give extra time for slow internet connection. You don't need a camera.

I was actually testing the ram but it should still do for showing what my E6420 can do.

    I had a 24 1/2hr. shot but I lost it during a recent reinstall.

@GripS:I installed my Zalman and now I need 1,335V to do 3.2Ghz but the temps are much lower then with the Ninja and the Ninja was good installed in fact it almost didn't fit and I cutted my finger on the damn Ninja trying to get it off:@

Nice! What's your comparison for load temps between heatsinks?

    @Mysterfix
That is damn impressive. Which batch did that gem come from?

edit: 8 hours prime is enough proof for me. Holy CRAP! (A shot showing vcore would be nice tho)

I have the vcore in my sig as 1.5v but it's actually 1.53v now. The chip it's self is stable at 1.5v butin order for the ram to be stable @ 1100+ I had to give the cpu a bump in juice. Very strange to me but it workes.

Minus 10ºC in iddle and in 9/10ºC in load I think Ninja stragulated() the air going through the NB and mosfet's also now I have 2 120mm going into the GPU,NB,SB and lower part of the dimms and one 92(or is it 80mm??I don't now:p) giving air into the mosfets on the top part of the motherboard and with the 92mm from the 9500 sending air to the rear mosfet's and 1 120mm extracting air, another 120mm from the PSU and one 92mm from TT at the top of the case

And, what kind of typical ambient temps are we talking about with these crazy high overclocks on air?

For example my room is 30-35C. Idle temps always 40C+.
But, I dont think cooling has such a large impact on overclock. Its certainly a factor, and better than stock Intel heatsink will give you 100-200Mhz more... but, overall, you're limited by quality of chip.

First try E6420 and this CPU is good

I'm set vcore in bios 1.55V so probalby 1.52V in load ...

Mobo 965P-DS4 rev 1.0 and PI 16M stable at 3800MHz, boot @ 400 and clockgen to 475 x 8. Not bad for 1/2 hour testing

I got mine yesterday, primed 16 hours+ blend, 8x425=3.4ghz with vcore 1.4625 set @ bios. with intel stock cooler it gets most of the time 54-55 c degreece with short peaks to 57c @ coretemp, for 3.2 it needed 1,375 @ bios set, but for the 200mhz it needed a big jump:X 1.45 would crash after 1.5 hour, could it be NBv or FSBv, I had it on NB1.4v FSBv1.3v @ my p5k dlx, but 1.4625 did the job tho

Yup.... Looks like i'm in the same boat. I primed for 2.5 hours last night @ 3.4ghz with 1.45v. Unfortunately it was only for 2.5 hours. I'm gonna give it more juice tonight to see if i can get 8 hours prime stable.

Mine is a L650C by the way with a pack date of 5/11/07.

YES! 3.4ghz stable with 1.5v. I would have like to have reached this point on lower voltages. But then again.... We are talking about 1.3ghz over stock here.

Just give it some juice.... if it ain't got HOT give it some more..). To much volts never would crash it.
