Great! I hope I can get my retailer to check the box for me before shipping it to me. Thanks for the help, and the fast response!

That may be true, the 6850's are SLA9U. When the cpu's are officially released, it will be very easy to just go here to find out.

Nice results, much better than the Q6700 G0 (ES) I had the other night, the max I could boot to windows was 3.96Ghz with 1.62v and that was by no means stable. It also had a weird bug where I i ran quad prime it would revert back to stock speed, probably a bios (0603) issue with my P5K vanilla.

OMG, this is by far the best stable G0 Q6600 clock speed I've seen, 3.9Ghz is just insane for a quad core, and even for dual cores :P

1.55v on that speed is great too. My estimate for the max 24/7 would be 1.48v and 3600mhz?

I hope retail G0 Q6600 will be in the ball park rage to this one.

Try less, my QX6700 is close to stable @ 3.6 with 1.5v bios (1.45v idle, 1.40 load)

Most likely those can run 3.6 @ 1.36 like the dual core B chips

I seem to recall those first non-G0 ES quads people were posting here getting 3.8 GHz or better as well. It's just been long enough that the OC details of those first chips have been forgotten. This feels like dejavu.

Aren't most ES chips used for the bait and switch always?

If you know how the game is always played then you should not be surprised by the outcome.

QFT - Hicookie had a ES B3 which quad primed at over 3.8Ghz with similar temps

I have had a Q6700 ES G0 for a short while and its no major leap.

If you drop the Multi on the Q6600 chip can you run 450 FSB 24/7 without issue with Ram linked and synced?
