P5K DLX works fab for me....
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro AsusSaaya yupp, I agree
P5K, Gigabyte boards are highly ironic that they have massive sinks of them but don't actually overclock any better.
Which is then more ironic being as they loosen up the northbridge more than other boards to scale higher.
With the finding that you can change strap performance level - it seems Asus are being first to the table to implement it into the bios, but ASUS' latest bios was their slowest because of people asking for more FSB![]()
If it ain't watercooled, I don't wanna know.
P5K DLX working great real pleased with the board
P5K Deluxe...didnt impress me at all...
VCore is capped at 1.7 and you cant directly adjust the DDR2 to the exact speed that you want instead it uses dividers so you are limited in your options.
I wish the bios settings were like the 680i but with the BearLake performance
Never empower an idiot with a response....

Ehh? HTH would price make it "unfair"?That's the point, pal.
He's asking for the best P35 mobo out there - vote for one or the other. I voted for the Abit IP35 Pro and the reason was *exactly* what you think is "unfair": it's head-to-head with P5K Deluxe (sans the largely worthless WiFi), IMO has a slightly better layout, it consumes 30-40W *LESS* (in idle!) than the Asus one yet it starts around $160-170 online.
And I'd say you can replace "P5K Deluxe" in my sentences with "P35-DQ6" too (except power consumption as Gigabyte is just as good as Abit if not better).
This is a great poll, seeing as I am thinking about buying a new motherboard and a Q6600 to go along with it. But I was having a hard time deciding between the DLX or the DQ6 but now I think I am going to buy the P5K when I get the cash.
