    P4C800E Deluxe vs IC7-Max3

Okay, I know this has beaten to death, but I'm still stuck on deciding... I'm going to be putting a 3.0 P4 and either 2x512 or 4x512 memory in it (need memory help here). I've got a Prometeia Mach I also. My concern is that I've heard of lots of problems with the IC7 and none with the P4C. Also, with the Prom Mach I, I've heard of problems getting some boards to work. I have an ATX power conditioner, would this help? I'm looking more for real world performance than just benching. Also, on either board I'll be doing the vdimm mod to get to 3.2vdimm so stock vdimm volts aren't gonna matter. If I'm not mistaken, both boards have 1.75v or more on the core? (I've been told not to go over 1.75 or so even with Prom) Any other suggestions?

Neither of the boards are going to work right in a promie Mach I, you will need to use a separate PSU for the promie. The power conditioner doesn't fix or help the problem.

The Max3 won't have to be Vmoded, it has 3.2v on Vdimm

Either board will perform great for you, but the P4C800 will need a Vdimm mod if you need 3.2v.

What about the problems with the Max3? 5:4 and all... They released a bios that was supposed to fix it I heard and people were still having problems with it. I've heard of no problems at all with the P4C...

About the power conditioner... what exactly does it do?

EDIT: At the worst, I suppose I could pick up one of these?

My P4C800-E was a great board, and I'll eventually build a new case around it, but my Max 3 beats it hands down.
I haven't experienced any of the 5:4 problems that some people seem to be having with the Max 3, maybe I just got lucky.

Running a 3.0 and BH-5, would I even need 5:4 since I'll have up to 3.2 vdimm? This memory posts at 252FSB in a nf7-s and even then I"m not sure whether the problem is in the board or the memory...
