OCZ Reaper 6400 help

I got these for a review and they're giving me a lot of trouble. I had to reformat because they corrupted windows while overclocking.

They have no errors on memtest86 and run great at stock speeds. I tried DDR2-900, 4-4-4-12 with 2.25V and it couldn't boot into windows. I gave it 2.45V with 5-5-5-15 timings and I couldn't hit DDR2-1000!?!?

What's going on? I think I'm going to have to contact OCZ about this.

AFAIK these are using ProMOS chips.
Should do DDR2-1000 with 5-5-5-15 @ 2.15V [ well not all ]

send a pm to Tony to find out if I'm right about the chips, he'll help you get some decent clocks out of them

p.s. which mobo are you using ?

I'm using a P5B Deluxe and Lisa from OCZ sent them to me saying they had "D9" chips. I don't really care what chips they have, but if they have D9GMH, they shouldn't be performing like this.

Hi, sorry Lisa is wrong. These should be ProMos. D9 is only used on OCZ DDR2 memory rated higher than 7200mhz.

Quick question: Are these 1T or 2T ?

Newegg listed them as 1T but SPD said 2T.

This memory is rated at 1t and should run 1t just fine. The 2t in the SPD is for compatability with some boards to allow the memory to boot. Then again, some boards are so bad they may only run 2t. :P

You've got nothing to lose from changing between 1T & 2T Command Rate.
No real-life difference, and surely not in the programs that you'll be using if what you call a "DJ PC Rig" is what I think

As for successfully running 4 of them at 1T Command Rate...well, that depends on the motherboard ( mainly the chipset ) and your luck with your MCH/IMC.

4 sticks is a heavy load on any memory controller and 2t will be required. It's really just a memory controller limitation. As BenchZowner says the impact is very small.
