    The Official Brisbane Overclocking Thread

As the other threads about the AMD cores, I made another for the brisbane core (65nm) so we can avoid unnecessary threads and make all results from all in one same place.

    RULES

Overclocking results must include at least one screenshot with machinespec (cooling, temps, motherboard etc), like CPU-Z and the example below, assume from this

    - Stepping and/or CPU Assembly Date
    - VCORE
    - Method of Cooling
    - Temperatures (Software-based or Meter-derived)
    - Specifications of System
    - Stability Tests (SuperPi, Prime95, 3DMark, etc.)

Here you can see some results from other brisbanes

Only post results and hold the discussions in the PM's

Notice that the DTS is broken in the brisbane's!

My own results for the moment, just got stockcooling and waiting for my Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme,

Your cpuz screenshot is not validated. So, it has to be posted at Fudzilla only

    CPU Type: Athlon X2 3600+ Brisbane 65nm
    Stepping: CAAFG 0652
    Best Stable OC: 2945Mhz (9.5x310)
    VCore: 1.4V
    Temps: 50-51 C Full load
    Cooling: Air (Thermalright Ultra 90)

The highest 24/7 365 stable oc I can do on this chip is 2.945 ghz at 1.4V (in bios, voltage reads 1.45 from Speedfan/CPUZ).

Here is a screenie with a 12+ hour Orthos test and and Nuclearus score:
    http://filebox.vt.edu/users/asohangh...2945stable.JPG

The temp of the chip there is NOT as low as the SS indicates, for some reason Orthos screws up the Speedfan temps. I use the motherboard sensor as read by Speedfan usually and with two Toasts open max temp at this speed is 50-51C.

I can do 3ghz stable at 1.45V, but only with an extremely low ambient (like 65F or below), temps there are in the low-mid 50s.

Here are some screens of that:
    http://filebox.vt.edu/users/asohangh.../threegigs.JPG
    http://filebox.vt.edu/users/asohangh...egigstight.JPG

This was before I got the Ballistix, timings and memory speeds are much higher at 3gs, I can do DDR2 1000 C5 timings or DDR2 866+ C4 timings.

And finally, here is a suicide shot:

Well, after seeing all the 3GHz+ stories here, I decided to get a 3600+ myself aswell. But it doesn't really clock that wonderfull. I allready ordered a 4400+ to replace this one, hoping it will be a tad better!
This is what it can do...

I forgot when i try running the sistem at 1.65 vcore 267x12 and latencies 4-4-4-10 the computer gets to the loading of windows, but stays there forever...... Is it the ram?

Wich is the safe Volt for Vdimm, im scared to go further 2.1v, thanks madman for the advises and another question...

Is it better more fsb and less multiplier ? like reaching 3100 mhz with multiplier 12 is better than with 12.5?

regarding multis, some cores like higher, some doesnt like certain multis... it depends. Higher FSB vs Multi doesnt matter, as long as it keeps your mem at max try different combinations.

try loosen your timings, my ram (corsair 333mhz 4-4-4-12) is stable at 509mhz 5-4-5-9 but it boots with 4-4-5-9 but crashes in like 10mins.

without aditional cooling, i wouldnt go above 2.1V myself, but with a little airflow, i would say that under 2.3V its safe. I saw too much dead mems that were running at 2.5V on 680i mobos...

btw, aint 1.65V too much for 65nm chip? i hope your not pushing that 24/7 throught it... mine needs only 1.44V to reach 3052, and 1.46V to 3.1Ghz, but then the mem errors out

Hmm 1.65 V is just for benchmarking like SuperPi, i never leave it like that 24/7, actually i leave it stock for 24/7 until i get a better PSU and my big tyhpoon VX

ill try then the memories @ 1000 mhz with 2.2V or 2.3V depends.... and loosen up a little bit the timings

    thanks a lot!

I have to tweak the rams further, but anyway it looks stable, at least 2Hours of Orthos...

    all day super duper stable
    291*10.5=3052Mhz
    1.44Vcore
    mem 509 5-4-5-9 2.25V
