Not trying to be "right" bro, just curiousPeople on the Evga forums flipped out when one of the last bios releases disabled "link boost" by default. Some guys swore there was a difference but I've never seen it with my particular crop of hardware. Funny thing is you can adjust all this stuff manually and they all still wigged out like something was taken away from them
